I'm very much looking forward to this <3 Taemin is my UB and we've waiting for this drama since april…
Thanks a lot for the info and kdrama-jdrama comparison in time it takes to sub!! And I may assume it appears likely on similar websites for kdramas? But thanks, you totally gave me hope :D
I'm very much looking forward to this <3 Taemin is my UB and we've waiting for this drama since april and the trailer looks better than anything i expected even :D too bad it's on amazon prime, i wish it would air somewhere else ;-; idk if there will be any subs either or people making it subbed as I don't watch enough jdrama's to know how often jdrama's get subbed >.<
Umm okay at first I didn't plan to watch this because like previous school series, the 2015 one, is not my…
the 2015 was really centered around the bullying (as the main character was the one being bullied etc), 2017 does have a theme of bullying but it's applied rather on one of side character and more generally around (the main character gets some jabs but not like anything in 2015 so far so it's not), for me it feels like the main theme of 2017 is more school corruption (while bullying is one of sub-themes). I def think it's worth watching, I'm sure into it and on the edge of my seat with the mystery and suspence (I would rec at least try to watch the first 4 ep, especially ep3/4 captured me)
Wow! He played so many roles, impressive!! Last I've seen him in The Guardians (or Lookout) were he was quite good too although I wished his character had a lil more depth or at least something was missing (but he wasn't the lead so that was to be expected). Trick seems like a good movie to watch, maybe I will try that one! If someone has the rec one of these drama's with him, which should I start (I've already seen Bad Guys, Angry Mom and Lookout)?
Wasn't sure about this kdrama after the first two episodes (although I loved Sejeong already since her pd101 days, I felt unsure about the storyline/acting) but luckily I continued and the drama turned out better than I thought, the acting is pretty good for rookie main leads and they do have chemistry (Taewoon + Eun Ho and Dae Hwi + Tae Woon) and I love the backstory so far, really emotional and interesting (and sad ;-;). So far ep 4 til 6 have the been best for me and really got me 100% back in this kdrama and now I'm certainly going to keep following it!
If you are a School 2013 and School 2015 fan like me: don't expect the same kdrama from every School serie, I made the mistake to compare the insane story pace from School2015 had to this 2017 version which made me pull back from 2017 for a week but once you accept this is something else (just like back in 2015 when everyone was upset School2015 was nothing like School 2017), it has the same name but a different story and perspective, that realization definitely made my experience of with School 2017 way better (lol why did I have this realization from the start back in 2015 but now it took so long to understand not to expect a 2015 remake).
Anyways: if you are unsure whether to watch or not, just try out the first 4 episodes at least, the first two don't give you a full view in my opinion of the story nor characters so it would be sad if you only dropped it based on the first two episodes. The pace may feel a bit slow in the first two episodes but it certainly picked up from that till the recent/latest episode ^^
wow the june/may kdrama's have been so strong I'm watching right now 5 and now July will soon start too with new ones omg how to keep up?! But I'm looking forward to Reunited Worlds (bc the actor in circle is soooo good!! tho the plot seems a bit weird for now), Bride of the Water God, School 2017 and maybe Criminal Minds?
this show is amazing!! thank you for writing an article about it, since it gets forgotten in rates seeing how busy the mon/tue slot is right now but wow this drama does everything right for me! I love how they take so many things and make it one amazing drama. The acting is also amazing so far!
Definitely my favorite drama currently airing, i love the plot, characters, pace of drama and the ost!! Everything fits each other and compliments each other well and the action is unbelievably cool and amazing!!!!! And my babe Key is super cute <3
This article is very good, you hit the nail on the spot! Yoo Jin was such a villian, definitely one of the best I've ever seen, it's sad that the writers didn't see their lost chances and where they went wrong, this kdrama could have perfect, but at least Jae Ha and Yoo Jin were nearly perfect characters with insane chemistry!
As for best looking k-actor: Choi Minho (as shawol I can't possibly pass a chance on this!) and Kim Woo Bin
great start! I like the characters so far (even tho i already hate that one guy but that just means his acting is good haha) also the ost seems great, really enhances scenes and Key was cute for that lil scene he had <3
Just seen ep 8 and gosh yes! This drama is so good!! Nam Ji Hyun is bringing her A game and so is Ji Chang Wook (the female and male lead), they are doing amazingly! The drama has that perfect balans between serious moments and humor just like drama's as Shopping King Louie (who had the same female lead) and the recent Strong Woman Do Bong Soon drama, I'm really impressed with Ji Chang Wook doing so well for his first real romantic-comedy. The teasers for the drama def didn't do the show justice, if you are doubting right now whether to watch it, just try it and for those scared of the "large" episode number, don't worry, every ep is 30 min (they splitted every episode in 30 min, so basically every two episodes are one regular episode) so compared to other drama's, this drama will actually only have 20 "full" (1 hour long) episodes!
TvN really has great drama's, I especially enjoyed Drinking Solo and Let's Fight Ghost this year and I saw some past drama's that I really should get started on haha!
Bless this! I totally agree with all these second lead couples (except the Ho Goo's Love bc I didn't watch it therefor I don't know the characters/show) but other than that, I love all these couples, most of my favorite romances in kdrama-land were mentioned in this article (especially the heartbreaking King2Heart couple, the first time I cried for a kdrama was because of them ;-;)
i think i prefer watching airing kdrama's too, i've been following airing kdrama's for the past 2 years and i'm often more bound to continue watching if it's only 2 episodes a week (I still watch some completed kdrama's but def not as often as back when i got into kdrama's) for all the reasons mentioned above!!
THANK YOU FOR THIS POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been in love with it since it aired and gosh it's so amazing! It deals with a lot of issues, really talented actors (main cast + supporting characters) and hell yas to all the friendship feels!!
Underrated and my faves of this year were Age of Youth and Drinking Solo. My sweethearts Onew and Key didn't disappointed AT ALL with their first time acting, they both did amazingly and I was glad they both got some praises for it <3
they released some kind of special episode if you want 1 hour of spoilers: http://dramacool.io/hwarang-the-beginning-episode-1.html
I've just watched it and wow, waaaay more excited for this drama now! At first I was only gonna watch it to support Minho but the plot and characters actually seem waaay better than I thought <3 Can't wait for monday ^^
