It's always difficult to get the same feeling for both the text and the drama without exaggerating things. Or to avoid posting any possible major spoilers :'D
Why did you think it had 50 episodes? :'D I think 24 is a good amount for giving this drama the right time-frame to grow and come to a conclusion. Even though I don't want to get my hopes too high, I still hope that they will give this drama a fitting finale.
Do you mean when his friend asked him why he doesn't finish them off now and he answered that he wants them to be at their highest point when he crushes them, or do you mean that scene at the end when everyone was meeting in Mo Hyun's hospital room and Boo Cheon's secret got almost revealed? :'D
At the beginning I thought that Seo Won was an unnecessary accessory in the drama but now that they widened her arc I like it way more. Even though it's a known and often used trope, I enjoy it because 1) it's done better than in other dramas and 2) it helps define Boo Cheon's character. He's permanently switching between who he has to be and who he wants to be. Always being in a conflict with himself, trying to do the right things. Showing and hiding his good side... But I can imagine that it's not everyone's cup precisely because it's such a used cliché ;)
I felt it was a little too silent about Money Flower in the feeds, that's why I wrote the article, and I hope I got more people interested in it. It definitely feels underrated.
Sometimes I wish I had started the drama a little later, so that I wouldn't have to wait that long for new episodes. The waiting is killing me >.< I haven't watched Avengers Social Club yet but it's praised so much that I can't wait to watch it~
I agree with you, excellent acting and praiseworthy writing so far. Let's hope it will stay that way till the end! ;D
You know that I appreciate and value your comments alot, don't you? Whenever you "stamp" my reviews or as now this article, I feel like I've done something right xD
I was so overwhelmed by the drama while watching that I just felt like writing something about it. And an article was the best idea imo (I always wanted to write one about something but there was nothing that got me excited enough to feel the actual pressure to do it - except for My Golden Life. That one might be my next project if I'm not too slow on it...)
I don't avoid CW articles (but I'm rarely on the front page of MDL though :''D), but I still miss many of them. But when I do see one or two, I click on it to scroll through the text and see whether there are big spoilers and whether I might get interested in the drama. If it's a drama I'm watching already and am up-to-date, it's more likely that I will read them though.
♥~
Every role has a particular task to fulfill in this drama. Everyone harmonizes just perfectly with the other ones, no matter if it's love, hatred, desire, jealousy or whatever is needed from them in a single scene.
I also love that it's going completely different ways regarding predictability. No matter what happens... You might guess the next turn but chances are high that it won't go that way at all.
I was never happier about an award than with those three getting one for their roles in this drama.
I think it always depends on the genre someone likes. If there would be a horror drama with your fav actor, but you don't like horror then it doesn't matter how good the drama is. If you can't watch the genre, you'll probably pass on that drama.
So, if you like revenge/makjang, I'm pretty sure that you will be rewarded for trying it out! ;D Jang Hyuk is pure gold here ♥
I'm sure you'll enjoy him in this one a lot! His acting is pure love <3 I was actually planning to watch A Beautiful Mind. I'm very curious about that role of him ^^
The Song couple got the same right granted a few months ago.
(the bigger name doesn't matter - but I'm sure there are fans of either him OR her but not always of both - for example if there were news about "Jo In Sung getting married", I wouldn't be interested. If the news were "Jo In Sung and Han Ji Min getting married" though... totally different matter for me ;) )
I actually felt a little pressured because everyone was hating on the ending... :'D
And although I partly agree with others, I still didn't want to reduce points because that ending was only 10 minutes while the rest was great. And and I liked that smile Song Seung Heon's character had in that one scene because it looked so relaxed and like a big burden fell off his mind ^^~
Although the ending is a big wtf, I didn't mind. But your comparison with the sand picture was great!
And yes, that Mujin place... Such intense atmosphere. So creepy and captivating at the same time~
1. Ji dong inhabited Leo's body & Ha aram wasn't able to see the shadow inside Leo because just like Black, Ji dong was the assigned reaper to collect her soul & she can't see her own reaper.
2. Joon was erased from human world as if he never been borned, but that only affects human (erased from human memories & world) & since Ji dong who inhabited Leo was a reaper, he still remember Black/Joon very clearly, 007/416 might even told the whole stories to Ji dong.
3. Ji dong look after Ha Ram as per Black's request & when the day was being reset to erased Joon from being born, since Ha ram is younger than Joon, Ji dong was able to prevent the accident of Ha ram's parent thus she live as a normal person without her ability to see shadows since his dad is not a reaper, but her mom original husband.
4. Ha ram was married to Oh Man Soo, having children, grandchildren but OMS died earlier than her (my conclusion from OMS word longtime before that he wanted to be with her just until the day he died)
5. Ji Dong keep his promised to Black, keep Ha Ram save until her very old age.
6. Ji Dong knows that it was Ha Ram's last day & she'll die naturally from her old age so he tells her the truth about Black, a reaper who was erased from human memories & his loved ones and give her their fate/red string bracelet.
7.Ha Ram only remembered Joon=Black just after she saw their fate bracelet, so yes she knew that Black=Han Moo Gang he knew=Joon=the reaper who was erased from human memories just to save her/in order for her to have a better life after she saw that bracelet & connect that with Ji dong/Leo story before.
8.I'm unsure if Black/Joon only escorted Ha Ram's soul to go to the after life or go along with her, but I'll take it as they went together since Joon was never been borned so the rule for his body need to be found first won't be valid. I'll take it as he can go whenever he want but he waited for Ha Ram instead.
Some part of the reset story might seems inconsistent/illogical but given their genre which included fantasy (grim reapers world) I found it's acceptable.
It's a beautiful, sad, bitter sweet, tragic ending, but memorable. I loved and satisfied with it. In fact, I think it's the best ending they could give to us, the writing is just brilliant :')
