Haven't read the novel or seen the drama. I decided to start this randomly while looking for something to watch. I spent 3/4 of the movie confused because it wasn't until then that they explained that she had become mortal in order to save her teacher (which then made sense why her current self in her third "life" could be thousands of years older than herself in her second "life" that ended just 300 years before). From then on so many things made sense. Aside from that this is a beautifully tragic love story, which is just how I like them. And yang yang is just *chef's kiss.*
Now I'm off to read the actual story, and not the plagiarized version.
