Badz and Smile are so cute! For the second couple, I just skipped their scenes whenever they popped up tbh. I couldn't stand Kyro but Badz? Badz is so cute and a real man. Kyro just pissed me off lmfao. Badz low-key confused me cus at some point, I couldn't tell if he liked Liz or Smile but yeah, that's the only negative part about him. Kyro is legit annoying asf, the way he played w/ Smile's feelings and even when he liked Liz, he was willing to hook up w/ Smile? Crazy if you ask me. The second couple got too much screen time, since I skipped all their scenes, I finished this drama so fast 💀
Forced hate? I didn't have to force anything, the terrible acting did all the work for me
I haven't watched too many early 2010s or 2000s kdramas but you can tell they all have a somewhat similar outdated style and aesthetic to it. Like from the get-go you can tell it was made around those years, I don't care how you interpret my opinion or anything but from my perspective, it is in fact outdated but the acting isn't that bad.
I actually loved this! It's such an iconic kdrama and it's a must-see. The acting and style can be a little outdated but it's okay, it was made in 2009. I actually prefer this over F4 Thailand, maybe it's because it's more detailed in the story but it was a good experience. The forced hate on this drama is so weird, people nowadays are so sensitive.
I recently decided to check this drama out once again because I've tried it over five times and yet, I couldn't get into it. That is because I've heard so many good things and a lot of recommendations. I just finished this and I quite enjoyed it actually, I didn't know 40 episodes could be so short. I'm not a fan of anime, so I don't know how the anime went, but from this drama, it was pretty good. I'm not sure what that ending was, and I was a little disappointed, but it can't ruin my joy for this drama. After reading some comments, I found them quite disappointing because I genuinely liked the female lead. In fact, I'm glad the female lead was like that because if the lead was your average main lead, I'd drop the drama on episode ten. I felt as if she was more of a sister than the main lead's girl. I don't usually like it when a cool, revenge-ish drama has romance, but this was okay. She was more of a love interest until towards the end. Overall though, this drama was pretty good. I love Xiao Zhan's dramas so this was always on my drama/check list. I found myself laughing over the small comedic moments in this drama. For example, that one scene where they just randomly started to make a tune on the road, that was so uncalled for. I probably won't be watching S2 of this because it has a different cast and it just won't be the same, but again, I genuinely enjoyed this.
This was such a simple yet enjoyable drama! It definitely gives of Nevertheless but better id say? At least it was less toxic and aggravating between the leads. That one kissing scene on the bed got me kicking my legs, like damn. But anyways, it was a good drama. Short and clean, I almost wanted to fight the director at the end because I thought they weren't gonna end up together but I'm glad it didn't end there.
This drama is really good. So far in season 1, it was kind of weird because of how there wasn't actually a conflict for the main lead, and that he basically saw through everyone's intentions. Usually in dramas or shows, there would always be a main conflict, however it was not the case for this. Some would argue that the Feng guy is the antagonist but I'm not sure about that. Chen easily beat him and fooled him so he wasn't much of an obstacle. I'm guessing this is probably because this is only season one and season two is just awaiting, but it was a little disappointing. Still, I loved seeing how everyone was wrapped around Chen's finger, and how much even the well-respected masters idolized him. Great show, can't wait for season two!
