Yang Kang is not outright evil towards Mu Nian Ci, but his feelings for her seem more like infatuation or obsession rather than genuine love. Their relationship is complex because they stand on opposing sides hence their conflicting loyalties and views. Yang Kang's actions are often driven by his ambition and self-interest which is different from Mu Nian Ci's integrity and righteousness. While he shows moments of affection, majority of the time he is just possesive and controlling. He is an antagonist in the story.

I got as far as episode 6 and I couldn't go forward with it more. I've watched clips here and there because my brother watched this too. This is not dropped yet, I'm putting it on hold for when it does get more interesting.

Gosh, I wish I would like this drama as much as everyone else. But This does not interest me at all.

I really wanted to like this soo bad. I had very high expectation because I adore majority of Yang Mi's work. But I find myself skipping soo much. The story isn't captivating enough, the cgi or vfx is great but too much that it feels fake even though it is. And the chemistry...ugggh I know it probaboly is going to be a slow one but dayummm, even then there's no spark. As of now, YAYA and Lai is what keeps me watching.

Her two maids are so funny. Lol. I was like wait a minute, I've seen them before. And I did. Their little comedic skits has me rolling 😂
