I was really unimpressed with today's episode. Tushan Jing's death felt so anticlimactic that I felt nothing. It made me wonder if this was what I felt when I read the novel. The only thing watchable in today's two episodes was the last 5 minutes of episode 18. Right now, Yang Zi's acting is the only thing keeping me watching. Oh, and if this all turns out to be a dream, then that's it for this drama. The second half would have really let down what the first half have built. π€¦ββοΈ
Take the last four episodes, for example:- The super sweet and romantic proposal scene where XY gets super shy…
whaaaat?!? I know you said you didn't want to get into it but is it really changed for CX killing TSJ to a dream? As disappointed as everything has been, this would make me drop everything and rate this second season a 0. lol. Like this is supposed to such a pivotal part in the story for Xiao Yao's character development in regards to Jing's death forcing her to confront her deepest sorrows, fears, and loss. In additions this scene was suppose to show the lengths CX is willing to go to achieve what he wants and desired.
I've been a big Ru Shou fan from his first appearance. I can't believe he's going to make me cry so hard.
He really is quite a character. With his minimal appearance he leaves a huge impression. He really is just so loyal to Haoling, also a voice of sense and reason to the King of Haoling. He is also just a good person overall, especially towards A Nian. Yesterday's episode with him consoling A Nian was so adorable. Now that his ending is coming, I'm not sure if I'll be prepared for it π
I've grown to adore A Nian so much! Her character development has been incredible, and I'm really hoping she doesn't end up with Cang Xuan. I've loved Ru Shou since season 1, and I wish his ending could change!
I was going to pass on this but curiosity got the best of me. ZHL is indeed handsome but majority of his dramas did not captivate me as much as i wanted to. And I've only got to see a little of ZJM through Amidst a Snowstorm of Love, which she did so well with LW. Currently at episode 5 and I don't really see any sizzling chemistry with the two leads yet but I am starting to like this.

Your welcome! Not every character is perfect and if they were so perfect I don't think I could find myself to love them. In fact I think I was more drawn to their flaws that made me understand and love their characters so much. I definitely adore TSJ but XL holds a special place in my heart. Having read the novel, and the epilogue, broke me even more π

Yes, you are right. He did leave her when CX and AN came to confront her for the poisoning of HT. And I did find that a bit irritating and cowardly. But you have to consider the context of the story. TSJ departure may not have been solely due to abandoning XY, but rather a decision driven by the need to protect his identity- so his brother does not know of his whereabouts thus protecting XY and the rest of rejuvenations hall from any mayhem TSH will bring if he finds out where TSJ was. He did also face CX and tried to stall him. It was XY who chose to come back. And yeah, that 15 years promise was low but it was creates some sort of assurance for him, that he will still have a part in her heart solely because he knows what type of person XY is- someone who can love and cherish but is someone who is able to willingly abandon if she finds any dislike.
Lmao....Jing never fails to be the coward that he is, and why I hate his character to no end too. So that's that.…
Even if he did leave him for dead, XY would still not haven chosen XL. She would rather become the next Royal Mother than be with anyone else. Xiao Yao deeply appreciates Xiang Liu's sacrifices and the depth of his affection for her. His presence provides her with a sense of security and understanding that she treasures. However, Xiao Yao's love for Tushan Jing is characterized by a deep, unwavering commitment and emotional connection that has been built over time. Jing's steadfast loyalty and genuine devotion to her are qualities she values deeply.
XL used every opportunity to push XY away, so she back to Jing and reconnect with him , how dare he!!! Jing fans…
As a fan of TSJ, I am thankful to XL. Despite the complexities of his character, his actions did play a crucial role in bringing TSJ and XY together. I also acknowledge his help in saving Jing's life later on in the story, solely because of his love for Xiao Yao. Despite his own feelings for XY, XL recognizes that TSJ is crucial to her happiness. His actions are driven by his deep, unspoken love for XY and his desire to see her happy, even if it means helping his rival. This selfless act highlights his complex character, showing that his love for XY goes beyond his own desires and extends to ensuring her well-being and happiness. However, this does not make TSJ character fall short in any way. TSJ's unwavering love, gentleness, and dedication to Xiao Yao have their own unique strengths. While XL actions, driven by his hidden kindness and selflessness, are undeniably impactful, TSJ unwavering devotion, sacrifices, and respect for XY independence make his love equally profound and meaningful. Both characters definitely offer different but equally valuable forms of love, enriching the narrative and most importantly XY growth.
Also TSJ and XY love is deeply rooted in genuine devotion and mutual sacrifice, far from being built on empty promises or superficial affection. TSJ unwavering commitment to Xiao Yao is evident in his consistent prioritization of her happiness and well-being, enduring personal and political challenges to support her. His actions speak volumes about the depth of his feelings, demonstrating a profound dedication that goes beyond mere words. Similarly, XY reciprocates this devotion through her choices and sacrifices, reflecting her deep love for TSJ and her willingness to protect and support him. Their relationship is characterized by mutual respect and understanding, with TSJ respecting XY aspirations and desires without imposing his own, showcasing their mature and respectful dynamic. The emotional depth of their bond is evident in how they navigate challenges together and the genuine care they show for each other, making their love story genuine, meaningful, and compelling.
I loved to hate him while reading the novel, but yes, ZWY is killing it. I can't bring myself to dislike him when…
He really is a remarkable actor. And if his character becomes a villain, I would still pity him rather than dislike him. ZWY just did so well with fleshing out CX emotions.
