I don't like some changes in the drama (like the 2nd ML, TY hurting YH, the villain and the ending,). That's why although BFTB is one of my favorite drama, I will still prefer the novel

Is it true that they changed the title? I saw something on TikTok and I want to know if this is true or not. LITC is my most anticipated drama of him and I don’t want to be disappointed

No wonder! I read the novel and fell in love with it that's why I decided to watch the drama adaptation. BFTB was also the first drama of HMH I've watched and that's when I became a fan of his.

While watching, I was VERY dissatisfied with Tian Yao being so weak and easily defeated in the drama, meanwhile in the novel, he was still strong enough to fight Ling Fei and Yan Hui's ex-sect members. What I was most dissatisfied was the ENDING FIGHT! They completely gave the highlight to the FL ( in the drama) when in fact, it was the ML who fought and won jn the novel. Until now, I'm still bitter about it.

That's why I really hope LITC wouldn't be like BFTB.

I really recommend you reading the novel. I'm not saying this because I don't like the drama (BFTB is one of my fav cdramas), but the novel was also very good. It will make you understand the drama better.

Tian Yao not being able to showcase his powers as millennial dragon was one of my biggest regret in the drama.

I dislike almost of the changes in the drama 😭 the novel was so cool and more thrilling. I feel like I was robbed by my favorite parts in the novel that wasn't shown in the drama. One of my favorites was when Yan Hui introduced Tian Yao as his husband to Ling Fei and even their reunion after Yan Hui died. And more.

They changed a lot in the drama from the novel. For me, the drama is kinda messy with all those new storylines and characters, whereas in the novel, it was perfectly explained and aligned, with no unnecessary misunderstandings and no second male lead.

In the novel, both the FL and ML has their own strengths. Yan Hui was actually one of the strongest taoist in their sect (her powers was never sealed) and Tian Yao was still stronger even with his incomplete body (He could even fight with Ling Fei and YH' ex sect taoist).

What I'm dissatisfied the most was when they made Yan Hui confessed to fell in love first in the drama. I know they must have want to show Tian Yao's reluctance and fear in falling in love again after being betrayed but in the novel, it was Tian Yao who confessed first. He also never betrayed her by stabbing her in the heart to take the heart protection back. I also don't like how they changed the villain and the ENDING.

Actually, I have a lot of dissatisfaction of the drama. I think I could a whole essay for my rant. Maybe because I have read the novel first before watching the
adaptation.

But, there was also some things I like such as more sweet moments of them and the Wedding Scene, which was only mentioned in the special chapters in the novel (though I don’t like the reason they held the wedding in the drama)

Unfortunately, I don't understand chinese 😭 and machine translated chinese are confusing to read. I hope there will be an english translation soon just like My Journey To You 🥺

I really badly want to read the book. I just don't know where and how. Do you perhaps know?

I like ZYZ character set up but I guess I was expecting more of the character. I was waiting for a climax about Zhao Yuan Zhou at the end of the drama, you know? 🥺 Something like a plot twist or an unexpected revelation, something we wouldn't expected to happened. That was what I was waiting for. (Also waiting for a new look transformation 😆) Just like how ZYC character progress.

P.S. (also 😆) I also have a lot of things to rant about FOF so I can relate to you HAHA

Really? I don’t remember this happening in the novel though? Mingyi never had amnesia and Situ Ling, although he likes Minyi, it never became and obsession. He didn't became a villian and no one died. Or did they change a lot of things in the drama as I have noticed from the reuters that I don't remember from the novel

ML looks weak in the drama unlike in the novel and that frustrates me 😭 actually, both ML and FL are supposed to be much stronger than in the drama. Yan Hui didn't had her power sealed and Tian Yao became a lot stronger after getting his bones. The final fight scene also left me disappointed as in the novel, he was still stronger even without his inner core. Heck, he was even confident in fighting the final villain without it and could still fight head-on with Su Ying. I feel like the drama didn't give justice of him being a millennium dragon.

Though the drama was good, I really like the novel more. It just makes much sense in there. They changed a lot of things in the drama. They removed my favorite parts 🥺

I'm not that long in Cdrama but I would say Zhao Lusi. I am also a fan of Zhao Lusi and ever since ROTAR, she always got good projects (WRTW, LLTG, HL, TLI, TSOPG, LA and AL). As for the others, I don't know much about them.

Actually, the ending in the drama is kind of confusing since it wasn't really explained how she came back to life. In the novel, she was reincarnated thanks to the help of the Demon King (the one with the white hair, that was the twin of TY's ex-best friend).

A lot of things happened in the drama that wasn't in the novel. Just like the ending. Although Yan Hui still ended up dying in the end, the reason was a little bit different.

The ML didn't have his full power while fighting the villain. He doesn’t have his heart protection scale which is also in his inner core. So, he really is weaker than the villain at the llast fight scene.

But I prefer the ending in the novel than the drama. In the novel, it totally gives justice of him being a millennium dragon while in the drama, it feels like they gave the highlighted part to the FL making him looks useless. But I'm not bashing. It just didn’t reached my expectations since I've read the novel before watching the drama.

And he also kind of bit annoyed? I don't know if it's just me because I AM kinda annoyed watching the videos. I'm also a fan but I feel sorry for him being squeezed at like that. I wouldn’t be mad if he is annoyed by the crowd, but him still trying to received the letters and entertained the fans is heartwarming 🥺🥺
