Title It's Okay to Not Be Okay Spoiler
a good drama but gets you boring at the end,, and you could expect the end as well..
rather than “boring”, i found the tone of the story towards the ending “therapeutic” which i feel bring a good sense of closure to the characters —they are now able to open up themselves and their inner wounds have been healed. they’re also living a life that they have always dreamt about. but of course, these are just my views :)

lol, other than being a xianxia drama, how is this drama similar to TMOPB? TMOPB was not the first drama to have…
i started watching dramas at a very young age because of my parents influence HAHAHA xD

if you do wanna check out the series ive previously listed, i would recommend the little fairy, 8 avatars and chinese paladin.

nope, it's actually a very common storyline in chinese-language dramas because many of these xianxia themes are inspired by chinese folktales (with a given twist, of course) —it's just more popular now with the advancement of technology (so it's more appealing to viewers). and to date, the original novel of AOL was written in 2009, while TMOPB was in 2015...not to mention, the author of TMOPB plagiarised from several authors :/

to name a few old dramas (from the 2000s) with the "gods falling in love" , "the girl not knowing/memory loss" and "living a long time in the mortal realm", there were:
- the little fairy (mainland)(2006)
- legend of the demigods (hk)(2008)
- the winter melon tale (hk)(2009)
- 8 avatars (mainland-hk)(2009)
- chinese paladin 3 (mainland)(2009) - which also starred yang mi.

I loved this drama...for the 1st 20 eps or so. BUT, then I saw that nothing was turning out the way I wanted (and…

TMOPB was not the first drama to have stories between the immortal and mortal realm.

Finished this in one week. Cry tons of tears. Leads chemistry is on fire and really I'm falling so hard to Deng…
maybe you can skip and read only the epilogue instead. imo, it’s more satisfying and detailed than the drama :)

Just when will we be able to get a drama like this again... I’ve been waiting but just can’t seems to find…
have you seen chinese paladin 3? it’s also a xianxia, but a bit dated so CGI is horrible. maybe you will like the storyline between zixuan and changqing since it has the same heartthrob feeling as AOL.

I can't believe I was hesitating to start watching this drama. I have no words to describe how much I loved it.…
fun fact: when yangzi was first cast in the drama, she was the one who recommended deng lun for the role of xufeng ;)

fun fact 2: sa dingding was the one who composed all of the music. she had a small appearance in the drama and played immortal yuanji. deng lun and yangzi sang one of the songs as a duet.

Good grief, this show. I honestly don't know what to say because it had such a cute and engaging beginning but…
i agree with the points that you made.

my initial attraction to this drama was because of scarlet heart actually (because dreaming is also produced by tangren. no doubt that the company is trying to establish another liu shi shi haha). however, this is my advice to those thinking it will have the same “wow” feeling from scarlet...don’t watch dreaming back to the qing dynasty. it’s going to leave you a bad taste in the mouth afterwards. while the ending is a bit more satisfying than scarlet heart, the execution in the storytelling part is horrible and nothing refreshing.

i don’t think the fl was the only problem. if you’re someone who have been watching wuxia/and xianxia dramas…
it’s only close to end of may, maybe we should wait until end of year to make further judgements. usually the good dramas take the summer broadcast slots. of course, i’m also trying not to have high hopes to only end with disappointments haha

Title Love O2O
I LOVE it because it's light, cute, funny and without annoying unnecessary overdramatic cliches. It's not that…
once you’re used to watching kdramas, it’s natural to find cdramas to be quite long. but tbh, love o2o is not THAT long if we compare it to other cdramas which can drag out to 45+ and even 70+ eps.

I just don't get this drama why it has so many good reviews.
when this drama first came out, the gaming aspect made it refreshing. and due to the drama having little conflicts between the characters, it made it a relaxing watch.

as of 2020, with so many gaming and e-sport dramas released, this drama is now more of a feel-good drama, therefore no longer seem “refreshing,” but rather cringy and cliche.

I'd liked give some novel input to avoid confusion for the drama only watchers..1) 90% of plot in TMOPB is made…
i would generalise it and say that “the concept of 1 year in Earth is just 1 day in heaven realm” —this happens in almost all xianxia dramas. it seems almost like a rule haha

The drama a is very good compared to some Dramas of this 2020, I don't know y people keep on complaining about…
i don’t think the fl was the only problem. if you’re someone who have been watching wuxia/and xianxia dramas for the past decades, this drama is actually very mediocre in general.

Review Ashes of Love
a lot of the points you made are reasonable. as much as i love the drama from beginning to end, the drama does has its flaws and this mainly stems from the production team aka the screenwriters for not sticking to the novel 100% on the character development part. fans of the novel (which is 200% way better than the drama for its details) were very dissatisfied with the amount of screentime our leads had compared to the supporting cast (including leo luo). i think what was more frustrating was that the screenwriter gave some of xufeng’s lines to runyu’s character. in addition, they took the time to tell runyu’s past to justify his future actions which then makes the leads look selfish and villainous while viewers side with runyu out of pity and sympathy. given that it was already going to be a long drama, it was a bit disappointing that they spent so little effort on deng lun’s character. perhaps they could’ve spent a little more time to tell his god of war background instead of making him appear weak but then have people always saying that he’s strong :/

Title Love and Destiny Spoiler
I never thought this drama is so good. I guess the writer for Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms & Eternal Love of Dreams…
although love and destiny is a spin-off, it was definitely not written by the same author of eternal love and eternal love of dream. i wouldn’t say that tangqi gongzi (the author of eternal love) is a great writer either because she plagiarised from other authors :/ at most, she’s just good at compiling ideas lmao

Title Ashes of Love Spoiler
I can't hate Run Yu like the characters do in the drama, and I think that is what is preventing me from fully…
[spoiler]

he eventually does find some peace, but i wouldn’t say happiness.
