i personally don't think the acting is lacking, unless i nitpick some of the supporting cast. she's not showing much emotion because that's her characters personality. she's still cold from her previous life, i'm sure she'll warm up and become more affectionate as we progress. there are 40 episodes after all.

that's a rather subjective question lol. i would say it's good because i like historical dramas. if you like stories revolving around the royal family, politics, romance and shady characters, then you might like this one. acting is decent, cast is pretty, nice OST, story is interesting and it's well paced.

it's getting better and better as we progress through the drama! i still can't decide if rongqing is suss, or genuine. i wanted to feel bad for him in ep17, but something about him feels slimy idk.
