I devoured this sweet little drama within a couple of days. Zhao Yu Tong reminded me so much of Han Hyo Joo, in appearance and quality of acting.
The second leads romance was my favourite. Wan Peng has had a lot of guest and support roles recently, so I hope to see her leading a drama again soon.
Gosh those last few episodes were a let down. The mum finally becomes bearable then ruined it again. It's a shame because Yang Zu and Xu Kai were really good in this.
I audibly GASPED at that slap. Her mother is such a cunt i hate her lmao. No one was angry enough for me, and the useless Dad and brother just standing there watching my god. This drama is infuriating me hahah
Why do they have to make the families so unlikeable? It's making it so difficult to watch. I wish this drama was 16 episodes, solely focusing on the two leads instead of all this filler with enraging characters and storylines lol
Grandma is the only likeable character so far. She's so sweet, and I feel like she'll have a big hand at getting the leads together.
I'm enjoying MCH a lot more now that she's ditched her boyfriend and his family. She does a good job at putting her mum in her place, but I wish she would be more firm with her and tell her to back the fuck up. And the banter between MCH &YZM on the trip to the hotel was hilarious. I can't wait to see more of their interactions!
Another fantastic 2 episodes that left me wanting more! I 'm glad there was no cheating between the Rebecca and HRZ, but it was upsetting to see that the breakdown of their relationship was all because of an overbearing and possessive boy Mum. Episode 3 & 4 really showed how much Rebecca had and still does love him.
Qing Fen is just SO unlikeable. The end of episode 4 made me think she could take her obsession with Rebecca too far and be he one to cheat on HRZ. If only to 'spice up' her mundane life. It really looks like HRZ is dying for a reason to go back to Rebecca, and I hope he gets it.
My only issue with this drama is how it portrays almost all the men/husbands as useless or evil. Come on, life…
Which men are you referring to? The leads and support cast (Yanxi, the Shen brothers, the Hua family men in exile) are kind and well written. The only shitty husbands I can think of is Hua Jing's husband, but she's also a shitty character. And Yanxi's Dad, but his other wife was also despicable.
Yay thank you so much! Now I'm not so nervous to continue watching. Does he still become an idol and does she avoid the accident that made her lose the ability to walk?
