I really loved Ashes of Love the first time I watched it. Like most other people who watched this drama, I loved Xufeng and Jinmi's relationship. I cried buckets of tears for them. I also hated Runyu so much for trying to snatch Jinmi multiple times.
However, when I watched this drama for a second time two years later, I really hate Xufeng and Jinmi for some reason.
Somebody please spoil/explain why she had to do that in the ending? I don’t get the reason. Considering watching…
The fl did that to prevent war between Li empire and Xi State. Also, she was too done with the ml's bs. She forgave him, but she couldn't forgive herself.

What are y'all's opinion on Jiang Cheng? I see a lot of people cursing him and hating on him, but I just don't get why. I view Jiang Cheng as a pitiful soul who lost his family, and who cleans up after his senior brother's spills.

I didnt like it either at first, but it just becomes better and better. For me, it became interesting on episode 33. After that I was so hooked that I binged everything in 2 daus.
