I know how you feel, but the outcome does not depend on the director alone. Immortality has a different scriptwriter, production company, stylist, make up artist, producer, etc. They're not the same team.

This drama's OSTs will be produced by Mai Zhen Hong (Brother Hung) aka the "Father of Xianxia OSTs". I believe he has composed a couple hundred of pieces for wuxia and xianxia dramas.

You can give these a listen. His OSTs are so mindblowing because whenever I hear them, scenes from the particular drama automatically piece together in my head. I hope and trust that he will continue to do magic with Immortality.
