the drama slowly reaches into the territory of angst and annoyance and yet we can't stop watching can we? My initial thought was man, when did Song Weilong start looking good? And now my thought is man, why can't there be an independent and strong female lead in a modern drama once in a while?
Ooh this sounds exciting. Both leads have acting ability and have a youthful look. Loved Li Landi in My Huckleberry Friends and loved Lin Yi in Put Your Head on My Shoulder.
both the male and female lead have good acting skills, both look cute, and from the trailer they seem to look good together as a couple. I'm pretty sure both of them either learned to skate or knew before, so there shouldn't be an overwhelming use of doubles too! I'm excited!
update: Reba is no longer in this drama. (now the following is purely rumors, and I really hope they are just rumors too) someone said because Reba was the female lead, a lot of male actors didn't want to accept the male lead role. After switching out Reba, all the male actors suddenly decided they could accept. According to douban. (aren't Chinese netizens wonderful? So rude, so cruel and so mean!)
I know the last four episodes weren't of the best quality, but some people (mostly Chinese fans) are being way too harsh with their criticism. The majority literally say they changed their ratings on douban from 5 to 1 star. Like come on, the last story wasn't great, but it's definitely worthy of 2-3 stars. Why? It actually has a deeper meaning than what's shown on the screen. For case 1 and 2, the only complex theme was don't believe what you see/hear. But for the third case they bring up a message of what's more important? You or the team? A happy future or a happy present? And is life really just a game? They also brought up the idea that for a team to succeed, they have to put the team's wishes ahead of their own, which I agree with. I really wished they deleted the majority of the gaming scenes and added more suspense because honestly it had potential, but it was wasted by the nonsense added to make it more "interesting". But the big reveal at the end was pretty cool, you have to admit right? They even got an excuse for why the acting wasn't that good! I would say the 9th episode was actually really worthy of like 1 star, ten was worthy of 1.5, eleven is worthy of 2, and twelve is worthy of 3.
iQiyi conference or something. I saw a picture posted to the Chinese website douban that had a picture of the shows iQiyi was planning to release in the first quarter of 2020.
Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t there a second series happening and there was a link here to it? Unless…
Do you mean Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace? That's technically Zhen Huan's sequel. But if you're thinking about recent sequels perhaps you got it confused with Yanxi Palace?
