ikr...the drama is full of clichés, but they do them well. I like the depth the characters have, especially Han Se Kyung. I hope she stops listening to Seo Yoon Joo, because she's becoming manipulative :/ She's focusing too much on hurting others to achieve her selfish goals instead of using her intelligence and talent to get there.

btw, what do you think of Cheongdamdong Alice so far?

There are definitely some problematic depictions in this drama. Just because they're subtle and supposedly entertaining does not mean they're any less influential than the more conspicuous forms of racism/cultural appropriation. Choosing to disregard them because they're not "serious enough" or because they're "just entertainment" is ultimately what leads people to become passive and ignorant as they begin to agree with the screwed up portrayals that are presented to them.
P.S. - Congrats on your sociology degree.

I also thought the parts with the cultural appropriation were insensitive :/ Not to mention that they used those different "costumes" as visual gags.

"The standing for the characters at ep 10 is the same as ep 1" - You're kidding, right? There was a ton of character development. The whole point of the story was to literally make them end up at the same place, but have subtle and meaningful changes in character.

The title is so exciting (SCHOOL!!!!11), I think I'm gonna have to watch this.
