Rewatching the drama but this time focusing on Zhou Wan's expressions and reaction to LXX, especially knowing how she liked him since the beginning!! It definitely put it into a different perspective :)) highly recommend!
Just finished it, and I have to say I absolutely loved this couple. Their chemistry was off the charts, and I…
Agree, and I believe this is also because the final cut went from 32 episodes to 29 after the censorship review. The latter half of the drama from ep 20 onwards did feel a bit choppy with the cuts, and I'm pretty sure it's because of the edits they made instead of the script. I wish we got the full 32 episodes :(
Saying goodbye to this drama is so hard. I'm already having MAJOR withdrawal! This drama is probably one of the top 5 CDramas I've watched. A plot with a yearner man and a couple with so much chemistry is crazy. Sure, there were some plot holes & editing issues (not the fault of the leads). But if you take it all as a work of fiction and just enjoy the story by turning off the rational parts of your brain, this was a VERY VERY well done drama. Both the leads can act without a doubt. From Zhou Keyu's expressive eyes to Bao Shang En's micro-expressions (and ability to cry without looking dramatic), these 2 young actors have such a bright future ahead of them. While everyone is thoroughly impressed with Keyu's acting (esp ep 20, the breakup scene), I also want to shine attention on our female lead, who matches the emotions required to bring her character alive. Zhou Wan is a very complex character with her own trauma that has led her to be highly independent. She's not a helpless heroine (although given the circumstances, e.g., a poor background) who needs the male lead. Instead, this drama builds a beautiful relationship of 2 broken characters who find each other and support each other.
Everything felt so natural & there was never a dull moment. I love our couple's lovely dovey moments and their fighting / tense moments. The chemistry was really chemistry-ing. Thank you to both our amazing leads for bringing these characters alive. LXX and ZW's love story is going to last a lifetime for me <33333
So she wants to destroy his family ?Forget about what they felt for each other .. or ? Love is cruel..So who's…
I feel like they're gonna end up working together, and LXX's father gets justice served (especially by his son). And if anything, LXX will stand by ZW's side after hearing about what wrong his own father did to her. Our FL is all alone :(
This really reminds me of Lighter and Princess. But this time it was the FL who betrays the ML 😭. Don't mind…
Agreeee~ it was so nostalgic. When ZW tells LXX he cannot bow on his knees ~ reminds me of Lighter & Princess when she said he can't bow - she refused.
I wish we had more than 29 episodes – it definitely looked like they had to cut out a few scenes since in ep 17 the transitions felt a bit sudden. I like how they showed the proposal scene was actually ZW's imagination before it cuts to her childhood memories resurfacing. It is definitely an important scene that highlights ZW's internal anxiety that the happiness she feels with LXX isn't going to be permanent. It sets everything up nicely to the motivations on why she chooses to leave him in the upcoming episodes :( Just crying for my girl.
Wait if guo Xiang ling marries into the Lu family and the fl and ml start dating won’t the ml be dating his…
To be honest - yes but not really because Zhou Wan and her mother literally are not related / don't interact or been in each other's life. Her own mother literally almost couldn't recognize her and ZW had to call to confirm it was her in the earlier episodes bc her mother basically abandoned her. I'm going to chalk it up as – mother and ZW are not related in any way besides blood.
Love this couple so much ahhhhhhhh ~ when they're acting like a couple before they become official <3 Chemistry felt so natural! I love how LXX supports ZW when she's struggling & they have such natural skinship!
no break up scene shown but just grandpa tells her to leave ... not sure if ML knows. Also not sure if the official breakup is ep 20 or ep 19 :(. I'm ready for adult arc though -- can't wait for them to reunite.
