This is really underwhelming. The high rating is for the subtle hint/tease of Yaoi/BL of the main characters.

And for the ones who insisting that the story/plot is to watch for. I have watched and read a lot of cultivation(xanxia) drama/novel so I cant help but compare.

No offense. You are asking me that because you are not a male. But maybe Disturbed a strong word. It was just cringey.

I am straight male so I really get disturb/unconfortable by the way he looks. Ok I will just ignore that.

Dont worry. I will watch it till the end. Even if it will not appeal to me way past Ep 10.

Like most xanxia drama/chinese drama, the pacing is not good.
the comedy feels forced and make up is a bit disturbing.
seriously the way Wei Wu Xian looks at La Zhan it feels like it will turn a full blown BL. Seriously dude stop that.

I definitely agree with you. She must have watched a lot of melo dramas.

I really love this drama. The real reason of low rating is the bad storyline period. But if you watch it and focus on characters you will like this. The character interactions and character's growth feels genuine. And the approach on this drama is very light. You could say it was like sitcom. So I suggest you don't take the story very serious because it will definitely dissappoint you. Hopefully you give this a chance.

I only watched episode 1 and 2 of both Drama but Gank Your Heart took the realism at high level. So I dont get what you are saying about the one on GGS.

I think someone misunderstanding the 1st episode, the scene where he gave her bouquet is not the future. They are in a relationship. When he became a succesful lawyer their relationship turned south. Because she started not to like him ( he became a really great lawyer but became a bad person ). And the female lead have something like hero syndrome.

If you put it like that then it makes sense. But that scene is really weird and forced.
