so true! she's vile and there is no way to justify anything of what she did. i'm so glad she got what she deserved (suffering and death), but what she did to sang jiu and her clan was beyond evil and there's no way to make up for that, i wish her death was more painful. she wasn't satisfied with the misunderstandings she caused between sang jiu and ming ye leading to their divorce, she went as far as killing a bunch of innocent people because she didn't get what she wanted. i don't think she loved ming ye, honestly i don't think she was capable of love at all, it was just that after her father died and he was the only person she had left, and got obsessed with him just because he was close to her father, but it wasn't love. she's the worst and i would happily watch an extra episode of her dying a thousand times in different ways !! it's been a while since i was this angry over a cdrama villain 😭

i am tempted to put it on-hold for a while because i was having so much fun watching, but in the latest 5 episodes or so (i'm in episode 28 rn), i wasn't enjoying AT ALL. and the reason for that is that the "big mystery" (the reason yingluo entered the palace for) was solved in a very underwhelming way and i can't stand qianglong, there is nothing good i can say about him so far; i have nothing against the actor, but seeing him on screen just irks me and he is appearing more frequently.
i love the costumes, love mingyu, the empress, wei yingluo and also like fuheng. i think this drama is so beautiful and aesthetically pleasing, i also think the female characters are very well written, but i can't see a reason to continue watching at this point. is there something to be expectant about?
