If someone told me that a different writer, each equally bad at their craft, wrote each episode of this series, I'd believe it. Hell, if a different one wrote every SCENE, I'd find that believable. That's how disjointed if feels. Recap: Daonuea is awakened (in his own room at the resort) by Tee, who--although just dumped aka friend-zoned by Dao the night before in front of all of their friends--feels the need to set out his ex's toothbrush and toiletries for his day on a boat. Late to meet Nine and the others, Daonuea doesn't text them to let them know, but he hurries through a shower, etc, and rushes off, leaving Tee to get lost in his memories of first meeting Dao in college--something that appears to have some meaning behind it. Maybe. (Don't count on it. This could just be filler for these cinema-length episodes.) Dao has made the odd choice of a cardigan and pants to wear on this boat trip. (Or are these the clothes Tee set out for him in an attempt to keep Dao from showing skin to Nine?) He still wears the necklace Tee gave him when they got back together (and Dao changed his social media relationship status but still wasn't boyfriend enough to have s*x with Tee, although they slept in the same bed many times.) On the boat--which is really a yacht--Nine convinces Boat and Candy to go off swimming alone. On the other side of the yacht. (Yet Dao later wonders why they are taking so long, like they are off somewhere far way rather than a short walk. They can probably hear them laughing and splashing from where they are.) This is because Nine wants to be alone with Daonuea, either for sex or a photoshoot in their underwear to the accompaniment of threatening background music. It was hard to tell which. But we did get the prerequisite leg kiss. Oh, and Nine took the necklace off Dao's neck before getting handsy. (And Dao puts it on again after because we see it on him again, although we don't see it later when they leave the resort.) During this time, Tee stays at the resort to work and lick his wounds. Ice calls him, asking something about a client who called. It sounded like Nine gave the client money, but Tee isn't sure why. After Ice gives this news, Tee hangs up on him without saying anything. I mean, literally, just *click* No bye, no nothing. The following day, everyone is back at work, but things have changed for Daonuea because he has switched men. So, awkward. (Not for Dao, just for us and everyone else.) After being all cutesy with Daonuea while looking at product placement, Nine argues with Tee outside then tells Dao he has to leave. That night, Dao calls Nine and doesn't get an answer, but then Nine pops up at the door--and I swear I didn't remember the door having those windows, but I was probably in a boredom-induced coma--and brings dinner. As they eat, Dao tells Nine he is going to resign because it's weird working with Tee now. (But it didn't seem to be earlier that day?) Nine says to do what he feels he needs to do. (EVEN THOUGH Nine's whole reason for being there was because Daonuea worked there.) Dao refuses to allow Nine to stay the night, even for the kind of sleepover he used to have with Tee, and Nine goes home with just a sniff-kiss to keep him warm. Daonuea's cheaty-senses are tingling, so he asks Candy to meet him at a bar. (Candy appears to be the friend of whomever Nine dates). Candy insists that Dao drink, even though Dao doesn't want to. And not just drink, but drink and drink until sloshed without any food to soak it all up. Before they dance to no music and take selfies, Candy assures Daonuea that he can trust Nine because Nine is such a great guy, he stayed with Praew, even though he didn't love her, because he was afraid she'd hurt herself if he left her. Completely smashed, the two leave. Candy has called her bf to pick her up. Surprise! It's Boat, and he's looking unusually cool, dressed kind of tough-biker. (Candy is in an outfit straight out of the '80's with cinched fabric and puffed sleeves and shoes with big bows at the ankles.) They leave Dao standing drunk on the sidewalk, but fortunately, Nine has seen all the selfies Candy posted on IG and figured out where they were. He's there to pick up Dao. He drives Dao home, and Dao wakes up in the car not remembering Nine had picked him up. Nine doesn't even walk him inside, although Dao is staggering and even has to lean on the car. He does, however, pause to wonder if Dao can make it on his own. (But he's not gonna check.) Daonuea doesn't seem at all hungover when he wakes up the next morning, and when he recalls that Nine is the one who took him home, he is so embarrassed, he throws the covers over his head and squeals. (He had sex out in the open on a yacht but is embarrassed for Candy/Boat to see him shirtless and Nine to see him drunk.) Remember, Dao, this is your soulmate--the guy who caught you TWICE when you tripped at the amusement park. He picked up your sunglasses and your, er, toy--if that isn't destiny, I don't know what is. Here and there we have conversations between Ice and Tee that may be meant to build a relationship between them, but there's really no chemistry there at all. Ice is mainly just someone for Tee to bounce his thoughts about Nine and the client off of. Tee confronts Nine for the second time, and this time Daonuea, who has come to sign his resignation twice (this may be a subtitle error), overhears. He tells off Nine about never being completely truthful about his life and goes home to sulk. Tee stops Nine from running after him and asks him if he really paid a client to work with them just so he could be around Daonuea. (Duh. Is he really just figuring this out? Is Dao really just figuring this out?) Nine goes to Dao's and stands outside the door, looking through the windows at Dao on the bed sulking, trying to get him to let him in, and apologizing, but just generically. 30 percent plot advancement, 70 percent filler crap.
I think next week's competition is the worst thing ever. So, they are going to compete so that the winner gets to pick who they share a room with. Obviously, Eun-chan and Lee-hyeon are going to go head to head so they can get Hyeok-jun in their room. Rather than doing this, the production people should have done a random drawing to mix them up.
seonyul rlly said “thinking about you” during the call to changkyu just to not call changkyu afterwards……
Did he? omg, I thought the other said it. The subs flash so fast. And I also had to change them to have a dark background because I couldn't see them, and the English was layered over another language. Edit: I went back and watched and now feel that Seon-yul was really just trying to encourage Chan-gyu to keep his options open during their talk when they were walking, so maybe he does kind of miss him?
wow....they say channgyu and eunchae ain't handsome enough?? wah.....I don't get those people at all, sorry :))
I feel the same way, but I'm not sure where that feeling has come from. Maybe from some of the pics posted for the show that have them together? Of course, they probably just took random pictures. (I'm not even sure if what I'm saying is right, lol. I may have gotten the impression from something on the show.)
Changmin got most of votes..again. Is this Single’s Inferno? lol I understand that Changmin can really be attractive…
And it's odd because, to me, those being ignored are the cutest in a lot of ways. Your faves are the same as mine, and I want them to find someone. I wish they would explore others.
Here's the thing though, HyukJun and SeonYul have both called Changmin both times they had an opportunity to call.…
At least Seon-yul seemed to have a lightbulb moment when he realized that Chan-gyu is m ore mature than he first thought him to be. And have Hyeok-jun and Seonyul really sent mixed signals? I would have to go back and watch again, but if they were the ones chosen in other interactions, they really didn't have a choice but to go out those people. I can't remember now who asked who. I kind of see them as older guys who want to get to know everyone they like even a bit before making a decision.
bro changmin is so popular its kind of getting me mad lmfaooo but i get the hype. I'm glad there was a match tho…
It doesn't even make sense, since Chang-min is so introverted he isn't showing his personality to anyone but Jeon-hyun, who has taken the time to really talk to him. It's like everyone is picking Chang-min for looks alone. That probably happens to him a lot.
i'm just gonna express my opinion. ik it's about personal preferences but i don't understand why changmin keeps…
Those have always been my favorites, too, although after ep 5 I am annoyed with both for clinging onto their favorites and not exploring others. Chan-gyu should have used his time sitting with Jeong-ho to talk to him. It also might do good for Seon-yul to see Chan-gyu with other men. He's already realized that Chan-gyu is more mature than he first thought.
I would like to see him with Chan-gyu. I wished that Chan-gyu would have talked to Jeong-ho while they were sitting there instead of sulking over Seon-yul, who's made it clear he's not interested. BUT, I noticed that Seon-yul said something about Chan-gyu being more mature than he thought, and I wondered if that meant something, like maybe he was taking a better look at him.
