I don't think a passionate kiss at the end of EP 10 would have made sense since Kawi was still a nervous mess.…
It wasn't so much that I wanted the kiss to begin passionately, I wanted to see where it got passionate. I do hope they give us some sense of that next episode. I can feel that Kawi cares very much for Pisaeng. I just haven't seen much proof that he's physically attracted to him. (Then again, several of you pointed out that he was more so when drunk.) So, I guess Kawi is worried about his first time. I hope Pisaeng realizes it's Kawi's first time. (Or things could go very wrong, lol.) I really liked the conversation between Max and Kawi. I wish they'd explored that a little more.
"Stiff and platonic in those scenes"I think it's the character, honestly. He was supposed to be very nervous and…
Every time I start to watch, I expect some angst to screw things up. But that really hasn't been the case. I hope that holds for episode 11. I think what I wanted was for Kawi to admit to Pisaeng that he is nervous. That he hasn't been with anyone before. (It may not even be the fact that Pisaeng is a guy that is bothering him. I kind of imagine him doing the same with Pear.) On a more positive note, I really loved the expression on Kawi's face at the end before the kiss. It was when one of them took their shirt off. Wide-eyed and vulnerable.
I think we're all so used to seeing romantic attraction and sexual attraction as a package that we sometimes forget…
I see your point but I feel that unless they do something more, such as Kawi voicing his concerns or something, it is not clear exactly what Kawi is feeling--could be either of the scenarios you mentioned. If ep 11 pretty much skips the rest of the scene after that tentative kiss, the director missed a good opportunity to show us what Kawi is feeling.
I don't know why so many people start watching these shows thinking they're going to be cinematic masterpiecse…
I wrote out this whole reply and then realized I'm on the wrong page and was talking about a different show. (The MAME thing threw me. I thought, Be My Favorite is MAME??!) Lol.
The comments on ep 10 on YouTube are all so positive. I didn't hate the episode, but Kawi just doesn't seem into Pisaeng at all. If we're going to make it about Kawi being unsure about sleeping with a guy, then make it that. Explore it. But they skirt around that issue, and Kawi just comes out looking like he isn't interested and is maybe even grossed out at the prospect of sleeping with a man. A passionate kiss at the end of ep 10 would have gone a long way in making up for that---we would see that Kawi is attracted to Pisaeng and imagine they probably have good sex. But that isn't what we got, and I can't help but compare this to Sotus, which I didn't like. Sotus 2 was even worse--with Krist's character again coming off as someone who is trying his hardest not to kiss a guy even though Arthit and Kong were together by that point. I used to think the same about Singto, especially after seeing Paint with Love where the two main characters stood three feet apart even while kissing--even after they slept together, but then someone showed me a very passionate scene Singto did in another show that was very believable. If that's the case, it may not be Krist but the directors who are making the actors be so stiff and platonic in these scenes.
There is definitely something that happened in the amusement park because there were bts shots there. But otherwise…
I am having trouble with this. It highlights the opinion I already had about Krist from Sotus, although it's probably just that he's playing another very reticent person. I didn't like Sotus--part of it was the hazing element, but another was Krist. Unlike so many, I didn't feel the chemistry between the two. I want to feel it here. Sort of feel it. But I just don't feel that Kawi is attracted to Pisaeng. Whether or not that's Krist's fault, I don't know.
As always there's a lot of people here who have a problem with this cute series for god know what reason but I…
I don't know why so many people start watching these shows thinking they're going to be cinematic masterpiecse and then are all bent out of shape when they aren't. We don't get a lot of bl's like that. The only one I can think of offhand was I Told Sunset about You, and I'm sure some people didn't like that one either. I enjoy most of the bl series I watch . The one's I don't enjoy are usually full of plot holes. (Someone once looked at my profile and said that I am too kind in my ratings. I said I rate them for how much I enjoy them and nothing else.)
I don't hate this or anything. but I get no pleasure from it either and if it weren't on the World of BL schedule…
Akira's looks is all Shin has of him because Akira won't give him anything else, lol. They really should have made Akira at least comfortable with Shin when they are alone this season.
