Absolutely agree with you! Also, it was a brilliant cast, every actor played their character exceptionally well! It's gonna be really hard to move on from this drama ;-;

Title Flower of Evil Spoiler
There is a question that is bothering me: how did Do Min Seok commit suicide if it is Baek Hee Sung who killed…
DMS took BHS and Jung Mi Sook to the forest , DMS asked BHS to kill her and take her to the cliff* , it was at this moment that BHS hits DMH with a rock on his head while JMS takes the chance to flee. I'm guessing that BHS dragged DMS's body to the cliff and threw him down making it seem like suicide or an accident. The police therefore due to lack of evidence concluded it as suicide.

Amazing . Beautiful story, fantastic acting, lovely music , sizzling chemistry, great character development and so on and so forth. 10/10. Please watch this, it's hard to put it in words just how amazingly mesmerising this drama this.
( Help I can't stop listening to Ship and the Globe while dancing to JJY's steps )
I really couldn't help but find Gong Hyo Jin looking so similar to Jennifer Aniston in this drama XD

The main question that arises is not whether Run Yu should've ended up with Jin Mi or not but whether he was truly a pitiful person or just villainous. TBH i don't get the hate that people throw at his character, like they are only looking at him like an annoying third wheel who fights his brother for the throne and tries to steal his girl and ruin their 'happy' family by overthrowing the Emperor and Empress. If the story unfolded from his perspective , I truly wonder what kind of reaction he would get because honestly he's very pitiful but he's not an outright bad character , he's rather a gray character. Let me get this straight, RY has done some pretty questionable (or not) things, like manipulating Jin Mi into their marriage which was for already fixed from the beginning. It was only because he knew that she couldn't comprehend the idea of loving someone and he know that she had good feelings for his brother XF who was always the most beloved in the empire being the Heavenly Empress's son. RY who never had anything truly belonging to him ( His father didn't care for him, his mother was killed, he could never inherit the throne despite being the elder son, had no followers and was avoided, had no proper family to speak of) realized that the one thing that he had hoped to have - To marry the eldest daughter of the Water Immortal was also about to be taken away by his brother who proclaimed to love him(RY) and give him everything but never truly had to give away anything to him. So, I don't know if RY liked JM at that moment of manipulation ( maybe he did maybe he only wanted to have something or someone for himself), but I won't ever blame him for what he did. Yes, it was wrong and cruel to JM but from RY's POV and as a person trying to understand him, I can say that it was not a sin that people say it was :').
The drama does explore RY's character in-depth and we are given a pretty good backstory which is kinda vague in the novel but I really dislike how the drama churned RY out to be a villain because ( CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM NOVEL) in the novel, RY was never shunned by the Empire after becoming the Heavenly Emperor, rather it was hinted that he was indeed a good Emperor. Nor did he use any unscrupulous means apart from the fact that he had poisoned The Emperor( which he deserved ) and then disclosed every little thing both the Emperor and Empress ever did to the entire Heavenly Realm , after which they collectively decided to support RY.
Now the reason for war between the two realms, it wasn't because of RY's jealousy that he warred upon the realm but rather he took advantage of the excuse that his fiancé JM was 'held captive' in the Demon realm to once and for all destroy XF , who had become the Demon Lord. I'd say that Ry might've cared for his brother a little but that care wasn't enough to leave him alone ever. XF was a an enemy to RY's throne and he know that one day or another the two realms would erupt in warfare so he took them by surprise with JM as an excuse and also not.
RY never does truly harm the Floral Realm in the novel, but he treats JM fairly well, apart from the fact that he does sometime imprison her inside the Heavenly realm. But he had hoped for JM to like him, as even when he know that JM visited the Demon realm to look for XF, he could've stopped her or tried some underhanded way to deal with XF but he didn't. He took another gamble, he added another ingredient to XF's revival pill so that if JM never tried to save him, XF would probably be fine but if she did then he'd make him suffer. Is RY too diabolical to XF? I don't think so because he had long lost his brotherly affections for him.
Now, people say how XF was oh so good but he was a flawed character as well. From the beginning, we can see him being the sweetheart of the Heavenly Palace, the next Emperor with his parents to protect him. He knew of his brother's plight, of what he went through and how he was treated but he had never done anything like that. Even after learning about how his father had defiled JM's mother ( he even though that she was his true sister ), learned about how his mother killed JM's mom and RY's mom, and how she had even tried to kill JM, had he ever done anything to stop that? Nope. He was practically blind, even when JM's father died and he suspected his mother, he never tried to find out what truly happened but was preoccupied as he knew his brother was planning a coup d'état. Ah the forgotten first prince, badly treated by everyone, had his family and clan killed by jealous step mother, who in the world should he ever try to overthrow the Emperor. TBH, when XF was killed, I cheered a little ( and cried, I actually like XF , truly) and was like Character development! because I was frustrated with XF so much.
To end this rambling , here's my conclusion, RY is a gray character and much better suited to be the Emperor than his overly trusting and hot tempered brother XF.
JM was truly always meant to be with XF, I have no argument with this, they are better suited to be with each but I truly hope that RY can also find someone to be with and live peacefully.

I started this drama mainly because of Zhao Lu Si (loved her other dramas) but here it was somewhat of a let down. I had anticipated this drama for a while and I guess it couldn't meet my expectations well. Although I did finish it but it was only by fast forwarding various scenes. The plot was all over the place, there's no decent character development, sometimes things just made no sense . Quite confused with the ending ( would've been better had they followed the novel ending ) but it's definitely not the worst ending that I've seen so..
Tbh it could've been so much better but they ruined it with the crappy editing .
Reasons to watch are -
• Good ost.
• Nice ML ( and handsome side characters )
• overall idea of story is quite nice.
• Really nice visuals.
• Would be fun to watch if u ignore inconsistencies in the plot ( and don't get too annoyed with FL )
