Before the premiere, I've read from an article that Kang Mal Geum's Kim So Yeon will be interested in one of the three men, so I was hoping that it would be Jo Jung Shik. However, with the recent episodes, it seems like they'll be pairing her with Jang Hyung Geun... They do have chemistry but I just wish that his story with his wife will end soon and the development with him and So Yeon will progress naturally and not rushed, but man... it would've been fun as well if she was paired with Jung Shik instead
Wow, Jiyeon cannot just forget about the hug between Nayeon and Taei, huh? Even knetz are frustrated because she just can't move on, they're saying that she was not even involved in the hug and that she did not witness it in firsthand π€¦ββοΈ Bambam is right, she's really scary
I dunno but I feel like Heedoo has the tendency to tell other people what to do because he's an athlete that has coaches that also tell him what to do lol... But tbh he's not any better than Nayeon. I think he's much worse. He's very defensive and proud which makes him treat Nayeon so baaaad. And I don't really want him with Jiyeon too, they don't really match. They won't last because she already doesn't like his nagging, they simply look like they will be good together BECAUSE IT'S ONLY IN THE BEGINNING! Of course, things always seem good in the beginning but they won't match, she's not as mature as others claim her to be and Heedoo will ultimately find things to nitpick about her in the long run π€·ββοΈ
Anyways, rooting for Naeon x Taei and Haeeun x Hyungyu!!! Also, for Wonbin's happiness π₯Ή he should be enjoying his time in Jeju...
To be honest, I was really happy with the 3-hour length of the recent episode... It felt nice to see all developments without waiting for the next episode. By doing this, they will let the remaining episodes to unravel. Some of them will grow closer, some of them will not. It's also interesting how they became more comfortable and uncomfortable at the same time due to the revelation of ex-couples. Of course, there were moments that frustrated me but at the end of the day, I realized that we can never fully understand what the members are feeling and thinking because we don't know everything at all. Even they are confused and surprised at each other from time to time. Now, I'll simply enjoy watching them live with consequences of their actions instead of continuing to nitpick. I'm really excited for the next episodes, really. I mean just the staff upping the ante, like wow!!! I'm even more intrigued because of their new practices...
At this point, I am only rooting for Naeon and Tae I. In fact, I think that they're the only ones who have a chance at beig together in the end.
For Jisoo x Wonbin: I think that they should not be back together. I really think they're better of as friends. For me, they're just comrades who are in the same boat. If they had consistent romantic prospects, it's highly likely that they wouldn't even consider getting back together. And take note of Jisoo's reluctance. She was uncomfortable. She was not keen. She simply wants to maintain what they have. If they get back together, bit will just be like the last time and Wonbin would be the one more in love and Jisoo would be the bad person which is not ideal so I hope they remain merely friends.
For Jiyeon x Tae I: They don't have a chance at all. They're very incompatible. Yes, there's chemistry but they're not compatible. They don't even make each other feel good. And Tae I is really determined to date someone new. I just hope that Jiyeon will leave the show happy and enlightened. Also, I am rooting for Naeon and Tae I. So I really hope that they'd choose each other until the end.
For Haeeun x Gyumin: I think that there's a high chance that Gyumin would turn to Haeeun once he sees that Nayeon is no longer interested in him. He might say that he's on a train he won't get off but once he confronts his suppressed feelings to Haeeun, I'm sure that he'll consider Haeeun. But I really hope that Haeeun simply moves on with the new guy though. I just hope that they'd have a proper closure.
For Nayeon x Heedoo: Sigh... Why do they keep on acting like they're still together? Telling each other to do this and do that. These two are really passionate. But unless they both change and become more kind and polite to one another, they will never have a propoer conversation. They ask each other questions but they never really answer each other. They're just in defense mode all the time. When not talking, they're on the offense mode. I think that they've hurt each other so much and too many times that they're exhausted and no longer wanted to be hurt and offended. These two should end the show without ending up with anyone because their unresolved issues and lingering feelings will definitely carry over onto their next relationships unless they get a proper closure.
I just hope that there wouldn't be too many disappointments in the end and they leave as better people.
Then, there's Heedoo π€¦ββοΈ Gosh. I really think that him repeatedly scolding and criticizing Nayeon has made Nayeon feel small. I think that the reason Nayeon takes on a defensive stance first whenever being called out is because of Heedoo and his harsh judgments. I really think that the fights with Heedoo (and the really harsh exchanges) has really lowered Nayeon's self-esteem. Notice how when she was opening up to Gyumin and sharing her side during the interview, she always blames herself.
Memories can sometimes really be bad for you huh? Due to their memories, they keep on looking back on the past and find it hard to let go and move on. Both Nayeon and Heedoo know that they are not compatible despite their feelings but I think they're way past the point of no return and they're in a really bad place. I just hope that they have a proper closure once and for all because they deserve it.
Also, WHY WHY WHY does Jiyeon have to bring up Nayeon hugging Tae I (without gathering completer information first)…
As for Jisoo, her reason for confronting and scolding Nayeon is questionable. It shows bitterness and jealousy all over. Like the first thing she said wasn't the fact that Nayeon violated Tae I's boundaries and that the hug lacked consent. What she said first was that she (Jisoo) wouldn't do that. She said that if it were her and blah blah blah. Then she only followed up with her so-called concern for Tae I's feeling which I think is an attempt to further justify her thoughts and actions. Since unlike Nayeon who's been consistently going on dates and has great camaraderie with everyone else, Jisoo only has gone on a date with one man and not as active in approaching others.
She claims that she wants to get closer to Nayeon but she keeps on blabbing things to Jiyeon and creating further misunderstandings. It's really not painting a nice picture of her.
Also, WHY WHY WHY does Jiyeon have to bring up Nayeon hugging Tae I (without gathering completer information first) to Heedoo?!? And with exaggerations to the story too? Even Heedoo couldn't understand why. Seems to me she wasn't simply having a good time and have been thinking of what happened between Tae I and Nayeon all the time. She was simply waiting for the time to rant to Heedoo and talk shit about Nayeon. She kept focusing on the things she's upset with Nayeon that she didn't even think of the possibility that Naeon (New Girl) should be the one she's paying attention to and not Nayeon.
What's bewildering is that after claiming that she believes either Haeeun or Nayeon is Heedoo's ex AND seeing that Gyumin, Haeeun and her will be travelling to Jeju together, she still thought that Nayeon will be travelling with Tae I. Did she really forget the fact that Tae I went on a great date with another girl? Why was she still hung up with the hug she hasn't even witnessed?!?
It's frustrating because Jiyeon seems really nice and cool. And she really cares about Tae I but she's too focused on the wrong things and she stubbornly goes ahead. I didn't even really enjoy her conversations with Tae I and Heedoo. With Tae I, her remarks were mean and insensitive, possibly taking a toll on Tae I sensitive state of mind. Then, with Heedoo, she brought up a story that didn't have anything to do with their date.
Gosh, wow. Jisoo, Jiyeon, Nayeon, and Heedoo have made me really speechless this episode. They've done really horrible things in Ep 14. Just wow, the convoluted situations have made them do upsetting things then they made things worse by themselves.
What I really hated was seeing how Jisoo and Jiyeon TALK ABOUT AND TO Nayeon. Compared to Nayeon, they've been really horrible. See how they straight up talked bad about Nayeon??? They claim that they mean well, that they don't want to be on bad terms with Nayeon but they keep saying negative things about Nayeon.
While Nayeon, on the other hand, was very careful with her words when she was opening up to Gyumin. She did not even say any names. It showed that she really thought of the words to say very carefully. It was really sad when she said that everyone seems to misunderstand her.
Like why are Heedoo, Jisoo, and Jiyeon expecting Nayeon to restrict her true self and act like them?!? Just because they have different personalities and ways of thinking, why are they forcing Nayeon to act like them? Why can't they try and understand her? They justify the bad things they do and say to her by claiming that if it were them, they wouldn't act like that? To me, it looks like they're acting very high and mighty π
I've seen many people pointing fingers to Nayeon and/or Jiyeon today... The things is they weren't the only ones who did something wrong.
First, Nayeon violated Tae I's boundaries by drunkenly hugging him and later, "admitting her mistake coolly" when it was pointed out by Jisoo. Was she really sorry because she did something to offend and hurt Tae I? Or was she sorry because she was caught on television?
Second, Jisoo had no right to share what happened with Nayeon and Tae I to Jiyeon. If she was so disturbed and worried, she should have gone to Tae I to check on him and not gossip and badmouth (under the guise of normal conversation with a friend) with Jiyeon. I don't know why many people are letting her off the hook π
Third, Jiyeon had no right to share what she heard from Jisoo to Heedoo or any other person. She did not witness it firsthand and it seemed like she was exaggerating and making negative implications while telling what happened to Heedoo. Did they really not have anything to talk about? If so, they better reconsider their "burgeoning relationship".
I know that it's normal to gossip with your friends. I know that some hug their opposite sex friends. But the thing is, they are on a reality show which millions of people are watching. Furthermore, they are in a unique environment. If anything, they should be more mindful of their actions because each and every single thing they do and say will bound to have consequences.
If you are going to pinpoint someone's wrongdoings, do not simply single one out. Also, constructive criticism is very different from hateful comments. Instead of providing some helpful insights, people are using what they have GLIMPSED FOR A SHORT TIME to hate on certain members of the show. It really screams "cowards", "hypocrites", and "pathetic" π΅βπ«
People are angry at Nayeon? Whyy? Like there is no reason to. She entered the house alone and fine a person she…
Yes! If you check twitter, there are loads of people who are hating on her. They're saying that she's selfish, that she's confusing Heedoo. It's like they're saying that she has the audacity to flirt with other people but doesn't let Heedoo do the same. It's frustrating really, everyone in that show is feeling complex emotions and they are confused. They cannot simply "make up their damn minds" immediately. People should be reminded that in the show, they've been only living in that house for several days (and 2 weeks at most) so it's not as easy to let go of the lingering feelings they have for their exes. People just need to let everything unfold between them and stop throwing hate on anybody because at the end of the day, they're just people in a constructed and sensitive environment.
Ughhh, here we go again π€¦ββοΈbeen seeing people throwing hate on Nayeon again because their ship is being threatened... Based on the brief preview where Nayeon admits to Heedoo that she feels jealousy, there are people who do not hesitate to judge her and invalidate her feelings... Just because she is capable of enjoying her time with other people doesn't mean that she cannot feel jealous of Heedoo and his romantic prospects (it's not as simple as black and white, you know?!?). People should remember that they have a long history together too and their break up was fairly recent. AND WE DO NOT SEE EVERYTHING ON SCREEN. Yes, we may see her thoroughly enjoying her dates with other men but we do not really know what she's feeling and thinking unless she says it (and the same goes for everyone).
Jeez, the misogynistic qualities of some of the viewers is really showing. Some of these people are angry and full of spite (even though her ex--Heedoo isn't) just because Nayeon is having and experiencing human emotions.
I'm finding this season much more complicated and interesting than the last season... There's just a lot of feelings involved.
Even if they claim that they are determined to find someone new, it won't be easy since they still have unresolved feelings with their exes. They claim to have moved on and only wish for their exes' happiness, but the truth is, they seem to only brush their deep feelings and thoughts aside in order to force themselves to move on and not deal with their issues.
It's amazing how these people seem in control of their respective situations but then they see what their exes are going through and everything comes crashing down. They feel the emotions and remember the memories they've been burying for a long time. So, yes, I do think that the show is a great place to meet good people but I don't really think that we'd see any potential long-term romantic relationships forming here (unless there will be exes who will be back together).
I think that the reason we find it really hard to predict who will be the endgame couples (besides the fact that these are real people who do not follow a script) is that besides Wonbin x Jisoo, everyone else still have lingering feelings for their ex.
I don't really think that the program is really a conducive place to form new lasting (romantic) relationships since they will only be living together for several weeks. In a short amount of time, it would ve very hard to settle their lingering feelings, foster new relationships, and keep certain thoughts and emotions to themselves all at the same time (it's just too much!!!).
So, I wouldn't really be surprised if there wouldn't be any new relationships that will definitely last right after the show. But what I'm certain of is that there will be lasting friendships here since they seem genuinely good people.
I really hate seeing tweets and comments that are negatively targeting Na Yeon. She's a cheerful person who really does enjoy the company of others. What's wrong with meeting other people and having fun with them??? You can enjoy the company of multiple people and not just one, you know?!? In fact, I think she's the most logical and sensible of them all. It's great to be open to new opportunities and appreciate others.
It's too early to say this (and I really hate to admit this) but with they way things are going, it feels like Won Bin won't end up with anyone... It's not bad per se... It's great to be alone and enjoy your own company but it would be nice to see him go on dates regularly and see his sweet gestures targeted to someone he likes...
I'm glad that Taei cleared things up tho...
Anyways, rooting for Naeon x Taei and Haeeun x Hyungyu!!! Also, for Wonbin's happiness π₯Ή he should be enjoying his time in Jeju...
