There is a reason why there is so much hate on America, you may call it propaganda but the common people of China actually has more than enough reasons to hate America.

A 10 for me. Loved the story and especially the twist at the end. i was like wtf.
Everyone is complaining that the FL is dumb. i would say that she is more clueless, not dumb and considering the character background anything else would be unnatural. And i wold say FL is extremely strong, the villain tried so hard to manipulate her yet failed everytime. And the misunderstanding between the couples is more due to ML and villain than the FL. Infact she believed in the ML till the very end.
The thing i hate about this drama is that the villain got off way to easily, the punishment was too light considering all the things that he did.
And the thing i loved most was the sisterly bond of the FL and her sister. We dont see this type of sisterly bond or even sibling bond in cdramas.

After ep 22-23 this show lost all its positivity for me. I mean i still dont get the logic behind shiyi's action. You have clear evidence yet you destroy someones career and dream without any reason. And the worst thing is, this show tries to dust it off as some lovers quarrel. I dont like GuanYe's character but destroying her life as if its nothing is pretty damn pathetic.

I thought the ending made perfect sense. And i think both your points can be explained easily. FL was a mental patient in the last few episodes. She was extremely traumatized by the events of their break up . Her mothers pressure, fathers death , friends death, forced her to break up with ML, which in turn led to the creation of a imaginary character. And the main catalyst was her breakup with ML. so expect her to not be rational when it comes to him.
@nd the doctor pretty much explained that, the forceful breakup led to the creation of the imaginary friend. And spending more time with her will in
fact help her cure herself, cause whenever she misses ML she imagines the friend as a defense.

After watching both the YAnxi Palace and this one , i can see why these dramas were banned in China. Both these dramas were blatant disregard for historical characters and their personalities, just to make you feel for their protagonist. For example , the emperor was not as useless as was portrayed in this drama. i would rather agree with the versions of the YAnxi palace. 2nd Empress Fuca was not an evil woman and that is a historical fact. As for consort ling, I don't think she was as evil a character as she was portrayed here. And i agree with Yanxi palace more in regards to her character( though it was extremely exaggerated at some points). And she was not poisoned to death. In fact the emperor himself promoted her to empress even before her son did. I don't think he would do so, if she was as evil as was portrayed here, or even poisoned to death.
All in all Yanxi Palace seems more historically accurate whereas Ruyis love appeared more realistic but made to make you feel more for the protagonist.

The most interesting thing i loved about this drama is the understanding between the Emperer and WYL. From the very start they both saw through the others schemes and what the other was thinking. That's why the Emperor loved her so. Empress Fuca loved the emperor too, but never truly understood him.
And WYL also never loved Fuheng after he broke off his engagement. She loved the Emperor even though she used him for vengeance. That's why she bore him three kids even though she was so afraid to be a mother. And in the drama she said she would never have child with a man she doesn't love. The emperor knew it too.
A for promising Fuheng the afterlife, it is because Fuheng sacrificed his life loving her And she always repays her debt. That's why she spared the 2nd Empress even though she was the mastermind behind Empress Fuca's death. And she would not take Empress Fuca's place, that's why she never became empress in her lifetime.

I don't think so. WYL loved the emperor. But since Fuheng dedicated his entire life loving her, she promised to pay it back in the next. Her character never allows her to be in debt. She spared the 2nd Empress just for a momentary kindness even though she was the ultimate mastermind responsible for Empress Fucas death. Also she would never take Empress Fucas place ,thus never became empress.

The thing I loved most about this drama is that all the characters here are suffering due to their own mistakes. PDH no matter how pitiful he looks , definitely had some hand in his wifes cheating. He never really thought of her as his family or thought of what she wanted. She was always his wife or sons mother but never family. Yes he did all the house works and everything but never thought what she really wanted. He thought he was sacrificing himself but in reality he never stepped out of his comfort zone. You cant give a thirsty person biscuits and expect gratitude.

The truly innocent characters in this drama i would say is Ji An and Yura. Ki hoon deliberately ruined Yura's life because he did not want to be remembered as a failure. Sometimes u do not need to commit a crime to ruin someone. Just by destroying ones self-esteem and confidence you can kill them. And JiAn is the very example of how cruel 'normal' humans can be towards someone.

Addicted movie didn't have a good ending. In the end the girl still chose her husband. And the plot was unrealistic. In this drama Hwan would have to abanfon his whole life and effectively go into exile to be with her. I dont think that would be a happy ending or you would want that for someone you claim to be your soulmate.

Han Jung Won is the best character ive seen. To me she was the star of the show. The way she handled everything was extremely satisfying. Unlike the FL, who cried and groveled and held onto her husband. She gave him a chance, not because she loved him or anything but because she worked for the family and put her effort into it. After everthing when she saw her husband is still not sorry for what he did, she simply just ruined him just like she ruined his mistress. Elegant ladies can be scary.
Other character that felt sorry for was juran. She was a naive person manipulated by her mother. The thing i hate most about this drama is the mother not paying for what she did to her own daughter

Honestly, the moment she married the older brother ,i knew she wouldn't end up with jisoo. It was either she went back to the brother or left them all. Because it would not be acceptable anywhere in the world let alone korea or asian culture even in dramaland. Had she left with hwan, they would have been miserable for life. THey would have to cut ties with both their families for life which is impossible. AS an Asian I can tell you Family is a very important part our life ,culture and identit.y
