They speak Cantonese! I'm also confused on subtitles. Everything on Dramacool is alright except the last episode.…

Hi! I'm purely asking, how is Li Xun toxic? And Zhu Yun weak? I'm on ep5 by the way. I'm just curious.
yes and people go to therapy to solve those issues. like i dont think lixun or people who lash out are bad people in the core but this isnt something healthy at all. go to therapy and solve those issues, not normalise this behaviour.

his frustration isnt toxic. screaming at her IS TOXIC. its not a natural reaction at all. stop normalising toxic behaviour wtf. plus he is literally 19/20 in that part. no one normal acts like that in real life.

in the livestream, chen feiyu said he dyed it for zhuyun (around 6 minute mark) https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1xd4y1t7UV/?share_source=copy_web&vd_source=d889ec0101cda66ad439fb11f3b525e5
he just said for zhuyun and didnt elaborate. i dont think it holds much significance but more for logistics issues? it might be worth mentioning that in the novel he never actually dyed his hair black until jail of course.

Hi! I'm purely asking, how is Li Xun toxic? And Zhu Yun weak? I'm on ep5 by the way. I'm just curious.
i used quotation marks with weak because she suffered from mental health issues due to lixun's mistreatment to her. he doesnt trust her and shouted at her so bad that she took extra pills and ended up in the hospital. in the novel, she's a lot stronger in the sense that she only cried when lixun shouted at her. but moved on right after. she was also a lot more badass in the novel.

i find lixun toxic because he always disregards her feelings and doesnt mind putting her down very badly if he thinks what he is doing is good for her. he is also in general really rude to everyone in the drama, shouting at girls for accidentally spilling drinks on his stuff etc. they removed this part from the drama but in the original novel, he said really mean comments about tian xiuzhu that i would rather not repeat on this page

Ah, now I understand why some viewers say LX and ZY didn't really break up. In that scene, ZY said, "LX, if you…
yes its on purpose. in the novel they didnt break up.

I know some would disagree with my opinion and just a disclaimer that this is my own opinion, but this drama doesn’t…
i agree with you so much

It's a school youth drama + "makjang"/melodrama. It has your standard tropes. I just don't get the hype. Maybe…

The drama took a long time for coming to us the shooting finished in January 2022. Lol, it was sitting in traffic…

binge-read the novel cause i didnt have enough of the show. they added a lot of elements in the drama to make zhuyun appear "weaker" and lixun look less toxic.i thought drama-lixun was toxic. novel was way worse lol. fu yizhuo's comment to lixun sums it all up "you dont give anyone a chance, you only make decisions for yourself"

the drama did a fantastic job in showing the process of jianhong going crazy, the novel version felt kinda superficial imo. i think the drama did a good job by combining yuxuan and xiuzhu, as well as shumiao with the lawyer. but i felt like combining xu lina & wuzhen wasnt great. cmon i wanna see lina doing some badass work in programming.

my overall thoughts remain the same, i find lixun, jianhong, and xiaoliuzi all toxic and the girls deserve better. but overall a very addictive drama. loved feike company and all their dumb references, almost cried laughing.

lol.li xun treats her better than her parents totally like a princess.even she started to think herself as a pribcess...…
i dont think it was because he treated zhuyun and jianhong differently. the only reason why they ended up differently is because zhuyun never actually fought back. she always accepted "defeat" while jianhong was much more hot-headed and actually fought back. when lixun, on the surface, agreed to go with zhuyun & jianhong's idea, then later presented his own idea, its very apparent, the difference in both of their reactions, although they were treated the exact same way.

not to mention, he also shouted to the other girls on the show. just because he didnt shout at zhuyun makes him not toxic? i dont think so. and like i said, zhuyun herself said in ep2 that he was a jerk to her most of the time. she was just too nice.

clearly we have different standards in how one should be treated in relationships so i dont see a point in continuing this conversation. genuinely hope yall over here dont ACTUALLY tolerate such actions from anyone else, partner or not.

obviously i know the motives behind his actions.
there were so many better ways for him to approach the situation and shouting at her and humiliating her in front of others was NOT it, regardless of his reasoning.

zhuyun herself said lixun was a jerk to her in college so i really dont understand what youre trying so hard to prove. and why would i need to exclude ep 22-27? cause it doesnt fit your narrative?

she only paid him to help her win the competition. he was the one who riled fang zhijing up and his actions to jianhong in college was what made jianhong mad in the first place.

its literally fictional characters lmao what are you so pressed about

the amount of times he disregarded her feelings and shouted at her. literally to the point she has to take depression and anxiety medication. even zhuyun herself in ep2 says he was a jerk to her most of the time.

her parents have a terrible mindset but his behaviour towards her is not healthy at all. i feel sorry for you if you feel otherwise
