Disappointing ending

Yes, there is a happy ending but why did they have to drag it on so much? the unnecessary conflict at the end (them being apart for five years, her considering marrying someone else), her being stubborn and not forgiving him despite loving him very much (apparently), it was just annoying. I would have expected her heart to soften after five years of being apart but she was being stubborn for the sake of it. only when she thought he was dead did she forgive him. was it all for the drama? for me, it left a bitter aftertaste to an otherwise good series.

Squandered potential

This drama could have been so good. It had a strong beginning, interesting characters, good acting. Somewhere around episode 13 it started to weaken. We got loads of filler episodes in which not much happened. It would have been better with only 24 episodes. I don't get why we had to suffer their separation when she became princess and again when she was able to flee but pretended to be someone else. there were too many episodes of the ml just pining for her while she was off baking cakes. only for her to die in the end. annoying, honestly.

Good show to binge

I didn't watch series while it was airing because I'm not a big fan of shows that are focused on music 🙈. Despite that I enjoyed this show very much. The OST was surprisingly good, music you can listen to on its own. The show was cute and heartwarming. Ultimately, it is about healing and finding yourself (again). The characters weren't over the top, you can understand why they act the way they do. This series shows you don't always need high heat or a complicated story to make an enjoyable show.

Could have been better

I mostly liked this show but I feel like it could have been so much better. I didn't read the webtoon, so I'm basing my opinion only on the show. I get that there was a reason why the straight couple got so much screen time. They were there to show the difference between a comparatively easy straight love and the difficulties of queer love. That being said, if you give us the straight couple in a slow motion and monatges of their getting together but the queer couple only gets together in the last five minutes of the show, something isn't quite right. Considering the show is named after one of the main queer characters, it feels a bit meh. I'm just a bit disappointed for what could have been, considering we've waited for this show for ages. I was so hopeful after watching episodes 7&8 but the last two episodes had too much focus on the wrong characters. Plus, Chan Young is the worst best friend ever 🤮 I'm just a bit disappointed for what could have been, considering we've waited for this show for ages.
