Im literally getting so emotional everytime i watch an episode, its just so beautiful and warm, especially the romantic scenes . ( I even cried in that rain scene in Ep 12, don´t know why...<3<3<3)
I don´t think JTBC Dramas are "unsuccesful", they are actually pretty popular and in my opinion also one of the best channels... (maybe they were years ago) but now they are a definetely a hit
I watched this partially due to your comment, even though I had heard complaints about the ending and had seen…
I didn’t mind the ending, but that’s because I never really expected a true “happy” ending. This drama has always felt kind of like a modern-day sageuk to me, so the fact that anyone was still alive in the end was the unexpected part. I feel a little self-congratulatory because I knew before watching the last episode that there’s no way Tae-wook would be able to live with the guilt of killing Kevin and letting Hye-ran go through the farce of being blamed for it.
Tae-wook’s greatest strength is his greatest weakness: he is a man of integrity who keeps his promises. He vowed that he would make Hye-ran fall in love with him, and she did — unfortunately a little too late. But mostly he vowed to support Hye-ran, which is why he accepted his punishment (as described by Myung-woo): to protect Hye-ran until the bitter end. Having failed to do that when she was first accused of Kevin’s murder, he resolved to uphold his promise, removing the last weak link that could possibly ruin everything she’s fought so hard for all these years — her career, her reputation, her unrelenting effort to bring truth and justice to the world. Maybe he can’t fix the past, but he can do his best to remove the final barrier to Hye-ran’s happiness. if I remove my feeling of being let-down at Tae Wook being the murderer, I do feel that this ending has a tragic tone which suits the mood of the drama so far. Seems like Kang Tae Wook and Go Hye Ran are just not meant to be together, who kept missing each other and simply can’t be happily together and also Go Hye Ran’s life seem so much sadder since she didn’t officially do anything wrong but everything is falling apart except for her career. The two men she loved killed for her and died. She had been chasing for success and happiness, yet happiness eludes her. I hope you kind of understood why im satisfied with the ending and relate to my feelings but at the end of the day, everyone has different of view and this is how i felt about it :)
I don´t why but im not enjoying this drama as much as i thought i would, i feel like the way it is filmed and vibe of it, are kind of turning me off. it all just feels kind of weird and bad produced....
This was a MASTERPIECE,i started watching it 2days ago without any expectations since i just wanted to start something to chill... And OMG from the 1st to last episode everything was perfect and reasonable and i can not imagine a better ending than this one, it even made me cry in the last minutes by sadness/happiness....im truly amazed **clapping**
its my second japanese drama that im watching and even though its a bit weird and cheesy with the 1 BILLION STORY, im kind of into it... And im loving the OST in this one<3
