I've been reading an English translation of the novel and need some help--any chance you read the original Thai…
It does, thank you! :) I know it's a complicated thing with language/culture translations, and I asked this elsewhere but got a mixed response, so it's a relief to hear it reads alright in a proper translation. I can resume the book now that fear's assuaged. :,)

Thank you :) Sorry in advance; this is a tricky and controversial question, and I'm just trying to ascertain the original intent--don't want to debate the morality/justification of the work. ^^; So I know Thai pronouns don't work like English ones and are more epithet heavy, and I also know colourism is a beauty standard in Thailand, like many places. I've been reading what must be an unofficial translation, and Khanin's "white"/pale skin is constantly mentioned in it; I'm trying to find out if it's being used as a neutral descriptor or implying he's more attractive because of it. That might be hard to gather from even an official translation, especially if they adapted it more to pronouns than the numerous skin-colour-based descriptors, but any chance you got a read on that?

khanin's character being misunderstood is stressing me out (it wasn't like this in the novel sighhh) hopefully…
I've been reading an English translation of the novel and need some help--any chance you read the original Thai version and could/would answer a language question?

So this is based on a novel... anyone know of an available English translation, or even one that can be machine translated? Or is anyone who read it willing to answer a few spoiler questions for me? :,) Please & thank you~

It looks like these have been removed? Any chance they're somewhere else now? ;A;

I see the complaints about the silliness and cliches, and fair; we're all entitled to our takes. ...But I'm adoring this as a fun romantic dramedy. :,) It's beautiful, so cute, and I'm living for the typical BL fluff and longing delivered with some lovable ladies. If you're scrolling through wondering if you should try this and you enjoy the classic light-BL ride, give it a shot!

i'm pretty sure the novel had a happy ending. in regards to the problematic elements, since i haven't read enough…
Thank you for the info! Glad to hear about the happing ending, because I'm not sure I can wait to the end to start ficcing it and don't want to invest too much love in an inevitable heartbreak, haha. Too bad about Kirk (no offense, straights) but ah well, at least so far the main ship is glorious enough.

I loved that first episode! Thoroughly enjoyed the stylishness, beautiful women, great chemistry, intense UST already, and I liked the delightfully silly but fun BL tropes. Has anyone read the novel? Do we know if it'll have a happy ending, if there are going to be "problematic" elements, or if Kirk, by any chance, gets a bf?
