IMO, soldiers tend to be quite sun tanned and marked by harsh conditions. From a visual standpoint the make up and foundations works pretty fine on TV, however quite unrealistic but this is a fictional romance drama, so not really surprise. I guess China don't want to engage to the the Korean approach too much...
