and the opposite could also be true. they showed both ways. our leads didn't get together which is plausible and…
im also upset that they did not keep their friendship at the least. but at that point, she realized that her support was no longer enough for him and every comforting word she said just became burdensome to him and I get that because she isnt experiencing the same thing that he's going through in ny. he prioritized his focus on new york and it became hard for her to reach him. its a stark contrast from when he disappeared the first time because even back then they were able to support each other just through voicemail messages. like she said neither of them are in the wrong for behaving the way they did. i also wish they were able to keep in touch but after the break up, they were both still emotional and in the end they didn't want to even call each other when they got hurt, ie when heedo ended up in the hospital.

I still can't believe that the couple who taught me so much - just went off for an almost near no reason -If it…
their relationship blossomed because they found support in each other.
their relationship ended because heedo could no longer feel her support reaching him, and yijin himself found it burdensome.
they love each other but it takes both of them to make it work. how were they going to do that when yijin did not want to communicate (a trait consistent through the whole drama tbh) the way she did, and even applied to a position half way across the country without alerting her first.

but the upsetting part is the 9/11 arc and how yijin got his ptsd from guys experience with the aftermath and how it affected their support for each other. it turned the drama from romcom to dreary mess.

their relationship should have been left as special as heedo explained it back then, that it was something that no other term could describe, lovers included.

hope kdrama writers realize that they can create a drama that has happy ending at the same time make it realistic.…
and the opposite could also be true. they showed both ways. our leads didn't get together which is plausible and in the meantime yurim and jiwoong had a happy ending which also made sense. just because baekdo didn't end up together doesn't necessarily make it a sad ending for the leads since they all moved on. it's only a sad ending to us viewers who rooted for them.

Saw an angry rant about how the diary ended up with BYJ. Clearly they mailed/left it with the address on the dupe resident card that he allowed Heedo to have. Honestly the ending of the drama wasn't the best result everyone wanted but the drama itself never created any "unanswered questions" that people were so angry about. imo it was all viewer speculation and their coping with theories. The question regarding who minchaes father was, was never proposed by the drama itself and was never important to the story telling and the plot from the start.
