God ... It was a torture to watch. The lines were super cringe-worthy. I can't believe Deng Lun accepted this project. My brain cells suffered watching the first 2 episodes. I don't think it's getting any better. The script was just bad ugh.

I don't really know any good actor that could play xiang lu's character who is close to YZ's age. I might pick from the Little Fresh Meat actors (Wu Lei is my favorite but I haven't seen a lot of his works). No for Yang Yang ... image-wise he could play the part but his acting is meh for me.

My friend doesn't like this drama because he finds the female lead too emotional. That's the point of this drama, it shows the contrast between a forensic doctor who relies on facts all the time and a very feeling prosecutor who follows her instincts. They're trying to balance these two extremes.
