it’s not the typical cliched kinda ending where its all happy where kan is let off easily by thiu or something like that 😭😭 this is more realistic/makes more sense in a way that shows how thiu has a law-abiding police character such that he does his job to the fullest in accordance to the laws regardless of who the perpetrators are. however, he still mentioned ‘i love you’ in the end although it was shown that he had chosen to not let kan off (given by the handcuffs) which shows how thiu still loves him despite those and probably would wait for kan to be released or something like that in the end 😭 (just to mention i have not read the novels)
