your points are valid, however i feel like your response to the original commenter feels like a "so what they also did this" what you should be doing is understanding how both these things happening is wrong, because they both are. and if someone stops watching something that offends them, they're not problematic. you can continue watching it, but i don't think you should defend everything just because you like the show or the actor or whatever.
