aaah that,,, sorry i probably didn't read your comment correctly... basically he's the one who hits her with the basketball by mistake (if you remember, its shown in the beginning, that she was hit by the basketball on her way to work,, he was the one who accidentally hit her with the ball)

basically he overheard her conversation with friends, when he wanted to meet her again and tell her he likes her. he feels bad. she sees the hidden message he wrote for her, she runs to the metro station to get him before he leaves, they meet in the end and she tells him she would like to sleep with him.
