my gosh. i'm so impressed by his acting.. i'm just... wow. his acting isnt the typical young actor acting. he's like a fricking experienced actor and just.. gosh. he's so good.
I am rare type of person, who actually enjoyed it. I enjoyed the fact that they did NOT copy manga nor previous…
i understand that there are a lot of negative views about the movie, but just like you have stated your opinion here, the people in the comments section have too and i'm sure they don't mean any offense towards yours and the other supporters feelings. just like that the author also doesn't mean any offense. they're also just stating their own opinion on this movie.

to be honest, i was against this project from the moment it was introduced.
Death Note was my first anime and Light Yagami is still my biggest crush, Misa is still the most annoying female lead ever and L is cuter than Honey-senpai from OHSHC. Mamoru Miyano's fantastic voice acting made me CRAZY for the anime and even the thought of the voice, that musical evil laugh being someone else's made me angry (although the dub version of DN is also very good)
Natt Wolff looked more like druggie in the trailer and upon reading "who is paid to do the homework of other students" this project made me give it an instant 0 without even watching 2 seconds of the movie.
Lets examine why. Light Yagami was a genius, a total psychopath and the golden boy of school. Here, it sounds like Light TURNER is some typical nerd kid using his brain to solve math problems rather than actually killing off criminals to create his ideal world.
L is not L without his deep eyebags, unkept hair, those comfy clothes and bare feet (and has surprisingly painful looking kicks). L is supposed to be a genius, charismatic detective waiting to get his hands on Kira to return justice to the world.
From reading this post, I have now understood that the movie is nothing like the masterpiece Death Note is supposed to be.
Next time, please don't ruin such great works of art, Netflix.
also, i hope romance wasn't made a major theme of the movie. Death Note was a psychological mystery/thriller with that one kiss in episode 15 and Misa following Light around like a stalker and if they turned that around or made it into a romance, another 0 for them.
i adored this drama but its SO overrated it annoys me to no end.
it was a good one time watch and i can't seem to ever go back and watch any episode of this drama again. and Joong Ki played a number of great roles before this drama... i hope those are given enough love too.
i haven't seen The Bride Of Habaek and i'm currently watching Goblin and honestly, i feel like both these dramas are two worlds apart. Goblin is a masterpiece. I'm loving the OST, the characters are great and there is a fair amount of humour which i want from dramas. I don't have the right to compare between two dramas out which I haven't even completed one but seriously, from the amount of negative reviews I've seen about TBOH,I can safely say I will not like that drama even if I try watching it. Another reason why I won't watch TBOH is Shin Se Kyung. I was trying to watch Blade Man earlier and I just wasn't able to continue. Her acting is really stiff (others may have a different opinion). I feel like looking pretty and acing a few kiss scenes here and there doesn't make you a good actress, but then again, I don't have the right to judge because I haven't seen Shin Se Kyung in any other role before.
