Despite the premise seeming similar they are pretty different stories, Stay With Me has a lot more going on in the story and has more time to develop everything. Since it's Chinese the romance parts had to be censored, so the writers were forced to focus on other aspects while keeping the relationship development in between the lines (don't let anyone tell you it's only a bromance). That's why I believe the rating is higher - they just had a more of a chance to develop the story before the unfortunate incomplete ending

No matter how much time passes I will always be back here - these two are so so so important and precious to me. I'm grateful for the production team and cast for making this series even with all of the difficulties that come with telling a story like this in Chinese media

My personal interpretation was that it stemmed from his guilt - He believed Sei's feelings couldn't be genuine (because of the circumstances that formed them) so he probably would have felt equally guilty accepting those feelings to have an intimate relationship

When actors star in their first series together and get popular, companies tend to keep casting them together because it's good business (continue giving the fans what they like) so long as the actors are up for it. Since First and Khao are a very popular pair, and in the same company, we're seeing them in a lot of things together

It truly baffles me nobody could figure out why Aylin was upset, despite them all having been there to watch her smash food into Tons face. The way they all say they care about her, but can't even understand that much. I will never understand how nobody in the show has an actual problem with how Ton acts (besides maybe Charoen)
