I honestly don't get how anyone can defend Xilun's behavior here. People are actively choosing to ignore clear red flags just because they only want to see the good in him. That interaction was pure gaslighting. Why guilt-trip her when he could have simply said goodnight and see you tomorrow? It’s classic manipulation, and watching people make excuses for it is just as exhausting

I would love for Hewen and Xiaoyu to end up together, but Yuer and Hewen could really work well too. Hewen is such a good guy—he and Yuer could positively influence each other.

Here is a quick theory I’ve been mulling over: I honestly think Hewen might leave the show—or at least attempt to. The letter he left for Yuer feels like the exact turning point the narrative needs. I can see a scenario where Yuer reads it and immediately races to find him before he can finalize his departure. It’s just a theory for now. I'll revisit this next week to see if I'm right. lol

She was guarded because he felt too good to be true, like someone who knows exactly what to say. She even told Kaiyi after the date that she wouldn't dare. What makes it sad is that Hewen already reassured her—he respects her mindset, understands her hesitation, and promised to be patient and let her take her time. Seeing Hewen’s usually bright personality turn so gloomy is devastating. Also, shoutout to whoever made that edit of him looking at Yuer sleeping on the yacht. That broke my heart.

Whatever the show is trying to convey, I think they got me. I got really emotional when I read Hewen's letter. It's something that i can relate to. I can't believe she lost such a great guy.
