is it wonderfully captured? YES is the acting/chemistry there? YESis the story coherent? NO WHY?? even though…
If you can't understand it then maybe you should ask others to help you understand. Just because you don't understand a nuanced outlook doesn't mean that it is "nonsensical." It just means you didn't pay enough attention. Maybe we are too used to being spoon-fed everything, and that's why other dramas are easy to watch but ykw? Masterpieces are masterpieces because people look into the underlying symbolism and the things hidden underneath the surface... You just looked at the tip of the iceberg but, the rest of it, you have to search for yourself. That's why I consider this and 'The Untamed' masterpieces.
I'd say they dramatized the whole thing, too many bad guys and not enough revenge/redemption. On another note…
yep... I watched deep in too and liked it a lottt especially the drama within the drama but the og cp were a bit problematic to me but I think that was also realistic because things like that totally happens in the entertainment industry that's why the gfs were okay but it still felt somewhat misogynistic. Nonetheless, it's a Must Watch!

omg me too... they were my fav. The pain was so hard that I couldn't continue but I did and ended it and I think it just shows how unexpected life really is... my life was exactly like QLs and I too lost the exact same relation totally unexpectedly so I could relate to them on a spiritual level.
Yes! That's why I'm not sure if I'll give it a try and continue watching or not. 😅
it's a masterpiece for us. Please don't insult people who understand realism without even watching it. As a lit grad, I've never seen any drama portray emotions as good as this one.

Yes and I'd recommend A Winter Sun Wakes The Wind In Spring Hills' Dream. it portrays the entertainment industry in a realistic way and is top notch romance and yearning. I've watched almost all kinds of bls and even hetero dramas and movies but I had never seen that kind of realism, cinematography, poetry and the portrayal of love, It healed me and broke me at the same time coz I keep comparing anything I watch with that.
Wait I have a doubt how are YZ and the princess related? I skipped over too many parts of characters other than main leads and now I don't know what's happening
I had to drop this too so unfortunately, I had pretty high expectations. I just can't really imagine them being…
watch it more and you will feel bad for the ML instead for how ruthless our FL was to him. I wasn't able to watch at a certain point coz i cried for him too much when I disliked him to death in the beginning and then the positions flipped and I disliked Yimeng wayyy more than that. But it was worth completing as they all came around towards the few ep in the ending and I would even rate it a solid 9/10 even after considering my standards are pretty high.
Also... I completed it while it was airing and today I was missing Nan Heng a little too much while watching Xie Zheng in Pursuit of Jade so you might know what kinda impact he had on me
just watched ep 6 what does it mean prince duan is a real person and they are all 2D characters?
Let me tell you from Yu Wanyin's POV;
It's like we are watching a cdrama about a modern woman (Yong'er) transmigrating into a book where she's the second lead cannon fodder but for us, she's the FL. For that woman (Yong'er), everyone else are 2D characters. Then we go into that exact book but for us even Yong'er would be a 2D character right? and why Houdan is not a 2D character too? Because in the drama which we have watched, there is no plot of villain transmigrating too so we are sure that Houdan is also a 3D character like us.
Now Wanyin thought for a while that since Prince Duan knows about all the events then what if he's a 3D character and for him, we are all 2D as in-- what if he is a modern guy doing his job and then watched a movie of people transmigrating and suddenly transmigrated himself as Prince Duan? Then everyone else including Wanyin, Houdan and Yong'er would be 2D characters for him.
That's why she thought that Prince Duan might be the real person
