per se, by definition: by, of, for, or in itself; intrinsically. || Ma Xianhong and Chen Duo being antagonists, by itself, does not make them evil because we will learn their motivations and intentions as the season airs. I hope this helps!
To be honest, Biyou Village Arc doesn't have a black-and-white view of good and evil. At least, in the source material. But you can say that the main antagonist is going to be Ma Xianhong (the white-haired dude) while Chen Duo (the NDT Temp that killed her manager) is a secondary antagonist. But they aren't evil people, per se. At some point, the NDT Temps even talked about how in a different point of view, NDT is the villain. It's what I love about this arc the most!

Er-zhuang is the AI girl who is the Northeast Temp. We did see her in the trailers but since they teased that she would get to hack one of the ruhuas, I just wished she was also here in this picture :< I do wish this would premiere this month. I cannot wait!!!

Erm, I don't think I can comment here where I watched it but I suggest you try searching with "Yi Ren Zhi Xia" or "The Outcast" I found it easily tbh.
As for Wang Ye... he was very active only during the beginning of his stay at Biyou Village and during the final battle. In between, he spent his time "recharging" LMAO. By my count (I can be wrong), he has one long intro-to-Biyou-Village scene and six(?) major scenes--three of which are confirmed: when he was approached by Ma Xianhong's lackeys (from the BTS photos), the 1v8 fight scene (from trailer 1), and when he beat up Zhuge Qing LMAO (from interviews and trailer 2).
But who knows? Maybe they'll add more scenes since in season 1, they included scenes from later chapters for him. Perhaps some lines will be given to him too like that one line from that green talisman dude from season 1. However, there is also a possibility they'll cut out one of his scenes because they cut out one person from the Beijing Arc who should reappear in Biyou Village :<
I've been rewatching the Biyou Village Arc of the donghua in preparation for this AAAAAAAA I cannot wait hhhhh NDT Temps as found family is 🥹 I wonder what changes they'll be making. Though I've seen somewhere that they were trying to stay true to the source material more than the first season... but I won't be opposed to some changes since I liked what they did in the first season :>
