Ok, as much as i agree with the overused "small and tall" trope, i think Korea has done so many creative BLs recently, that this doesn't seem too overdone to me. I think as this show progresses, it will become more exciting and watchable (i don't understand why people judge an entire show based on the pilot episode).
Sometimes people are just short, and there's nothing wrong with finding height differences cute, and this isn't something only applicable to gay people either. Most straight kdramas have height differences too, which can get repetetive, but isn't wrong by any means.
If you do want a change from height differences i recommend BLs like "Manner Of Death". Though to me, saying "why is the bottom always the short one" defeats the purpose of trying to defy heteronormative streotypes. How do we know what position they are just because they are portrayed a certain way? For me, as a guy who is not straight, seeing mostly straight girls pin "bottom" and "top" labels on every gay couple they see, i try to steer away from labelling couples in BLs.
More than anything, these characters are normally teenagers, so why would you want to imagine what they do in private? Even as a teenager myself, these sorts of things make me uncomfortable.
Anyways, i'm looking forwards to ep 2 tomorrow, and enjoying this so far!
