no there isn't any love traingle... both ml and fl only like eo
how can he explain or clear the misunderstanding when he didn't even knew that shen bei introduced him as her boyfriend before he came... 🙂 Spoiler - he immediately cleared the misunderstandings later when he came to know about it (ig in ep 5 or 6)
It is mentioned that "Li Zan feels guilty and blames himself for the death of his friend who sacrificed his life…
in the ending, li zan and song ran got married but his ptsd was really severe, benjamin and saxin died. in the epilogue, li zan died (he tried to commit suicide and then later died from his illness) and song ran also died after 5 years of his dead when she was saving a child in the battlefield
every scene is exactly how i imagined while reading the novel 🥺 i'm so satisfied... specially the acting, chen zheyuan's eye acting and expressions never disappoints
ep 8 ending scene, same as in the novel
Concerned, Song Ran asked, "Are you injured?" "No," Li Zan replied, making an effort to open his eyes. He lowered his head, rubbed his eyes, and smiled. "I haven't slept since yesterday; a bit tired." Song Ran fell silent. It was more than just lack of sleep; it was consecutive high-intensity work in the scorching heat, draining both mental and physical energy. She took a bottle of water from her bag and offered it to him. "Here." "Thanks." He took it, unscrewed the cap, and drank the entire bottle in a few gulps. "You've been so busy; did you even have time to eat or drink?" He smiled in acknowledgment, lips dry and slightly pale. At the end of the road, the gunfire gradually diminished, indicating that they had likely gained control of the situation. In the center of the street, after the explosion, the jute bags of sandbags were still burning here and there. Looking at the flickering flames on the street, Song Ran suddenly said, "I thought you were going to die just now."
I waited for this drama, but I don't know if I can continue to watch it. That this will mainly focus on the romance,…
PTSD comes in the later part of the novel. It’s not like he’ll be suffering from it throughout the entire drama. He’s a soldier, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve to be happy.
since everyone is sharing their opinions on characters and the pace, i have something to say too
let's talk about a zan first
I saw someone saying why a zan is always smiling, and the answer for this is very simple - it's how the author described him. the exact lines from the novel -
"Li Zan wasn't very adept at expressing inner emotions from a young age. Whether joyful, fond of something, sorrowful, or in despair, everything was calmly serene, with a smile as a response. Even in times of great joy, the smile was restrained, and in moments of intense pain, tears were silent."
ig I don't need to say anything after this.
many people are saying that chen zheyuan isn't suitable for the role of a zan... people who don't even know about this character, how can even say this? i mean li zan isn't some kind of muscular military guy, the author described him as thin, handsome, shy, introverted, with "beautiful eyes"... and this description perfectly suits chen zheyuan.
some people are saying he can't act in serious drama... then they should watch "dark night and dawn" first, a cctv's original script with no romance... he already acted in serious dramas before twot, it's just that u people don't know about it🙂
about the pace of the drama there are a total of 68 chapters in the novel and 38 eps in the drama, and so far they've made 8 eps from 21 chapters of the novel, so imo they're following the novel, also not everything have to be "fast", it's not like they'll show everything in just these 8 eps.
It is mentioned that "Li Zan feels guilty and blames himself for the death of his friend who sacrificed his life…
in the novel it wasn't his friend... if I'm not wrong it must be the plot when a family of 6 people died and he blamed himself for that (it wasn't his fault though) or they might've made some changes in the drama we'll see (maybe day after tomorrow - ep 11-12)
idol actor??? don't u know about dark night and dawn... (a serious cctv's drama)?? he's literally the top 95 actor…
u can think of it as tv ratings it's like the most reliable ratings for a tv drama having cvb ratings higher than 2 is a huge success (and dnad's is 2.014 .... making him the top 95 line actor having highest cvb ratings)
Happy watching after 4 hours lol😂
Done 1 millionðŸ˜ðŸ˜

"the characters also deserve to be allowed to live imperfectly"
in the novel jiang lin didn't died, u can say it's the only character with a happy ending (as he got married)
