Maybe it's not for you? For me it feels empty and uncomfortable when a world is totally made of women, unrealistic asf, and bad writing. I love when charactters have depth, and it's not like we got an entire episode about him, we just understood enough of his situation to know about him. From this type of storyline (Pleng being in a rich househould) it's very expected that there's gonna be the "arranged marriage" or any expected marriage with a guy of high status, it's not very surprising that there's going to be a guy in the story. Plus he was such a good chance for Pleng to realize what she felt for Wan was more than a close friend. God forbid we have stories with good writing and depth i guess?

Phleng got on my nerves. She's so dumb and infuriating for pushing Wan into a relationship she doesn't want. Argh.
Maybe her experience is different for you? I totally understand her perspective. She's trying to convince herself that if Wan is in a relationship with a guy, Pleng can finally let go of her feelings for Wan. Or in a way, prove herself wrong for loving Wan. She's in denial, and is panicking, and trying so hard to be the textbook "good bestie" for Wan while in reality she isn't even doing what Wan wants. She's being selfish in a way, but I totally understand it. If you've been in love with your bestie, as a baby queer you might understand her perspective. She's just a teenager. Not saying that's she's right for doing that, but if a story & characters are perfect from the beginning, there will be no story, no development, no episodes, and no point of the series. Hope this makes sense 🙏
