I’ve been holding this in for a LONG time because actors have their good eras and bad eras, but I’m just gonna say it, I haven’t come across another BL actor/couple, from any country, who hits every category the way these two do.
Acting 10/10. Story delivery 10/10. Micro-expressions 10/10. Chemistry 10/10.
And even their character work??? They can play characters who genuinely look poor, then get all dolled up and suddenly look like absolute royalty, I honestly think so much of it comes down to how naturally they carry whatever character they’re playing.
I’m not even their stan or anyone’s tbh 😭 I mostly rate shows/actors/couples based on the whole package, and there are COUNTLESS actors and couples I absolutely adore. After consuming an actually ridiculous amount of bl, tv, social media, reality content, interviews, etc., this is just where I’ve landed. no one in bl industry have cheched all the boxes since their first show as these two. There are some new faces this year that I’m excited for, but for now… Yin and War remain UNTOUCHABLE.
Watching Yusei in Loved One made me realize how much hair, styling, camera work, lighting, and all those little details contribute to how attractive someone looks on TV. This man looks GORGEOUS in My Beautiful Man but here he just looks average (still handsome, don’t get me wrong 😭) tho like your average handsome guy rather than the idol-level handsome we saw in My Beautiful Man

I expected this show to be way more popular but there is only about 4.5k watching it here. I am kind of surprised…
so my theory , s1 story and chemistry weren’t necessarily extraordinary on their own, but the concept and overall aesthetic made it feel really fresh and distinctive, which it what drew a lot of audience. in s2, I feel like a concept being showcased than something that naturally integrated into the characters. Also the story and couples haven’t grabbed me in the same way, so the whole thing ends up feeling a bit bland despite being visually louder. I’ve also seen quite a few people who started it immediately point this out, and I think those discussions probably put some viewers off before they even gave it a chance. I actually held off for that reason, then tried it anyway and dropped pretty much right away

in ep 1 they were showing one police officer taking bribes from another OFFICER inside the STATION so I think wearing tank tops comes very low on the list of what can and can't go in there 😭

Ahn Ji Ho 👏 he is such an amazing actor.. he makes you feel every emotion .. I was very impressed by him in "begins youth" too .. I would be looking forward to his projects
to anyone who is going to come later and gets confused to weather watch it or not.. I would just say that this isn't a love story but of everything that comes before that, there is "confusion, one-sided crush , new feelings and struggles with confessions and fear of humiliation that comes with it"... I think this show does a great job at portrays those

S2 just feels overstimulating now. They took something that worked for s1 and turned it up so much that, for me, it became distracting instead of adding to the characters. I hope the character-driven aspect hasn’t gotten lost in all of it, but I dropped the show, so I can’t speak on the story.
synopsis is like " James, a hot-blooded young officer" what you mean hot-blooded he is so smart and calculative before he takes any step, I mean Hot for sure, I think he is even smarter than Ken considering he's only 1% of his age 🤣 and Rain is absolutely caring that hairstyle .. I have seen many celebs have that but I don't think anyone have made it look so natural and flawless like rain .. he looks very handsome
every time I see Vincent I just remember Goki from" Your Divorce Is Served!" and "highnlow" .... I think they both look so much alike especially when he gets angry

that's a crazy amount of watching intros 🤣... i always skip but the only one I remember watching religiously was that of a bl of TayNew (don't remember the name) even that just once
ok I’m convinced this screenwriter is a gen-z intern because WHY does the story go absolutely peak and then randomly take a detour into brainrot and back to peak, Like, Lin Zai learned archery by shooting TWO arrows (I was blushing at that scene btw 🙈), and suddenly this bro is competing against trained military personnel AND WINNING 💀 I know writer is drifting into brainrot and then snapping back like, “WAIT, this is a serious job”
this was easily a 9/10 show, but they really messed up the editing. -like when that guy was shooting the uncle, they showed his face while he was pulling the g*n out of his pocket. - on bridge, then when Mok couldn’t open the door, they included that, and then they showed him opening it from another angle, and then again to show him still pulling it but couldn’t open it 😭 Like bro, what are you doing?? there were so many scenes I could point out, but let’s just say… change your editing staff 💀
