I cant wrap my head around how she can work two different jobs with two diff personalities??? If she is working as hyeri - wouldn't she be missing a day of work or something as an announcer and does no one question this or wonder where she is? Surely this job is like full time?? Unless I missed something and its working in the morning as announcer and evening as hyeri?? IDK it's confusing though.
Itâs not your cup of tea, you can drop it and move on.
I think I know what I can do thank you very much. Just my opinion itâs a BIT boring doesnt mean I wont finish it. Acting like you never done anything boring in your life lmao
I dont understand how could they kill off Zhao Yuzhen so early?? the prophecy was like if he left the mountain he would cause many deathsâŠI was expecting him to like destroy cities and sht but wtf he left the mountain and died within 5mins? Having to stay on the mountain his whole life for nothing. Poor Li HanYi. That was the only majorly annoying thing about this drama, otherwise AMAZING.
The issue is it was never supposed to be broken up. It was filmed altogether before China came out with the 40…
Yes true they will have to limit character storylines etc wont be as good as those old classic xianxias. but i guess directors and actors will get a chance to show improvement in their directing/acting based on this to deliver whats intended and what the audience want as spectacularly as possible within 40 eps - hard, but i guess thatâs how we gonna have to differentiate top tier from decent/mediocre. for this particular show given it was romance heavy without a solid plot line other than CX wanting to unite Dahuang - could be done in 40 eps with the way they edited everything. and since they did choose to split it, if they wanted to continue building side characters like FL or AâNian or show some depth to XYâs parents, the second half could have more episodes? or maybe they split it at the wrong episode. The hype of part 1 was lost watching part 2 after the long as wait but overall it was a decent watch I guess. it wasnt as disappointing as Fox Spiritmatchmaker (sorry but that was a total mess :( ? ) but not as bombtastic as Legend of ShenLi for me ;)
This could have easily been wrapped up in 40 episodes. Splitting it into S1 and S2, allows for comparison which they shouldnt be compared as it was filmed at once and having the long wait in between did not help the show at all. Also I feel it would have flowed better if it were only 40 episodes and we wouldn't have some scenes which were straight up boring (for me anyway).
And I know this is a romance heavy drama, but for me it was missing some impact in the wuxia/martial arts aspect, other than the fact it was set in the martial world and had some beautiful scenery. Was hoping CX and TJ to have at least a few impactful fight scenes with magic or whatever, but they was pretty bland. Only XL's final battle they put some effort in it - thank god for that.
Side note: XY too foolish for XL anyway, she got her boring peaceful life she wanted when she gave in to her trauma of loneliness and chose the safest option. While XL gets to go down in history as the greatest lover and a powerful general that deserved the respect even from his enemies. Although he was born alone at the start, he changed his fate and did not die alone (in the non-romantic sense) and made sure his life had a purpose, and will be remembered by everyone.
Biggest downside of the show is XY never finding out the extent of XL's love and all that he did for her. If she knew everything do you think she would drop Jing in a heartbeat and run XL? Guess we will never knooooooww for sure lol.
At Ep 22 and at the ~35 min mark you can see how much Yang Ying grew (Prince Li), so proud watching her grow from the crybaby she was in earlier episodes <3 <3 . 10/10 character development of all key characters!!!
