It's GL, the webtoon is a GL webtoon but because they had to censor it, the show doesn't seem like it's explicitly GL. If you read the webtoon, the GL seems much clearer than the show (there's some scene where Qi Lin calls Cang Shu her wife)

Noo they are the same age 😭, in the original webtoon Cang Shu is class A which is a class for the smartest students while Qi Lin is class G, basically a class with low-ranking students. But in the live action they changed it to 1 (Class A) and 7 (Class G)
