Just sharing ... I took a peek at E01 Time Raiders, XLG is still alive, living together with Wu Xie. Will continue after finishing this and Mystic Nine S1.
I like WLG too. I like his honesty. He clearly shows whom he loves, cares and also hates.
The same actor playing WLG is Wu Xie in Ultimate Note.

Correct me of I'm wrong. Yuan has a long time friendship with Ryan Cheng, right? Now, befriends with Joseph Zeng too. I am so happy ... I like Joseph, especially in friendship dramas. Imagine Yuan, Joseph and Ryan do a brotherhood drama together. ⭐💯

In E01, about 25 minutes in, ML wanted to burn her exam permit sheet. She said stop. That paper was her life line. He asked why. She briefly told him about a teenage boy who saved her. The boy advised her about education 10 years ago. Since then, she wanted to take the exam and have the power as an official.
In E03, about 30 minutes in, ML talked to his buddy about his time in Shouzhou. In one of his missions in the desert, he recalls a girl stole his jade pendant. He followed the girl, and later advised her about being an official. So, from FL's story, he knew it was her.

As far as I know, Zhao Li Ying doesn't do 2nd season. 🤷🏽♀️
Mystic Nine 2026 Yin Xin Yue, perhaps too young to look like a wife, perhaps the reason for siblings vibes.
Anyway, it's OK. Her role is small, I think only a few minutes in E01 (or was it in E02).
ZQS : Would sacrifice a life for the greater good. Live according to the military law.
WLG : Every life is important, )even animals) no matter how insignificant the life is. Don't care much about the law.
But, I think, while investigating 401 case, they will eventually meet in the middle, most probably not close but not enemies anymore.
