I’m one of those people who usually prefers shorter dramas without all the drawn-out filler. In this instance, shortening it was a mistake, this story warranted at least 16 episodes. The pacing was erratic, rushing through key plot points that needed more time, especially the romance, which felt abrupt and underdeveloped. Where did that I love you come from all of a sudden?
The actors gave it their all, even with a weak script. It had the ingredients to be a truly exceptional historical K-drama. But then it fell off the wagon.
Overall, Jo Bo Ah carried this drama on her back. She truly stood out.
love it. the chemistry was to die for. there are not enough serious, adult, slice of life dramas out there. without crazy plots or unrealistic, portraits of human beings or relationships. gonna miss them for sure.
I just finished episode three, but, woah, I'm loving this. It's the classic, cliché K-drama trope, done hundreds of times: the rich, cold-hearted CEO meets the poor, a bit "dumb", weird female lead, they fall in love, but this time with a clever twist - switching the gender, plus they are already married. it's simple, but genius. everybody is delivering.
Can't believe it's really over. CHER 🥺 Amazing comfort & fluffy, feel good drama. GunCher are the best. Book and Force earned themselves a new Fan. Excited to see their next project.
Is this worth watching for someone who hated UWMA? Does it feel the same (pacing, acting, production value)?
I disliked the series (UWMA) as well, but grew fond of team and win (&kao). if you skip over the scenes not including the two, & focus just on the teawin it's quite enjoyable.
