Actually he has liked her for awhile already, just hasn't realized it. Now that other people has mentioned it a lot, he finally realized and accepted it. So it didn't come from nowhere, it has been there hidden.

Hmmm, My stubborn does have a plot though. Sex is a big part of the plot. If they reduced those scenes, it would be impossible to tell the story. NCs are there for a reason. I watch it too, but I don't think I watch it for NCs necessarily. I watch it for the main couples weird, hot and toxic relationship including feelings. Plots and stories are different. Some don't need them, some do.
