lol - the title Maniac is as deceiving as the trailer. Both promised a lot but delivered two little emotionally immature boys who are only just growing up at the tender age of 20 something and having some miscommunication issues. They are not red flags or toxic characters - you may actually want to look up the meaning of red flag and red flag behavior.
I dont know if you are dumb - but comparison is never baseless. It fair to ask why this show is so highly rated in comparison to similar shows and to its peers - its how we judge. For a lot of reasons Thamespo is more similar.
I dont think Kinnporsche is all that. But i can appreciate that its popular, it has a story, character development, the production was good compared to other bl shows. And more importantly it was entertaining. Why? Do you really want to compare Maniacs to Kinnporsche?
The mix reactions are taking me out fr. I personally like this so much. Like the chemistry and feels are so real.…
lol - its not hate. Its disappointment.
We were promised entertainment with some red flags. Instead we get two shallow heavily made up pretty boys meandering through their "yawn" fluffy type miscommunications and emotional baggage. Its just cp leads posing in a drama to please the parasocials.
The trailer promised so much more than what it could actually deliver
Someone tell me - how is this tripe rated higher than "ThamePo Heart That Skips a Beat"?
PS what makeup brands do the leads use? They missed a huge marketing sponsorship opportunity here.
as with all gmmtv series.. they start so strong.. but the plot is so thin that it quickly loses steam.. GMMTV…
lol - luckily GMMTV knows that their fan base are not intellectuals - so they have to deliver very little to please them.
They need to fill in 2 more episodes. The will either create a few little silly miscommunications, or they will have more pretty settings with the main characters in pretty poses, a few fluffy moments and they will call it a wrap. Its enough to please the parasocials. They are not literature or film majors. The consider resolving these little childish games and obstacles emotional growth.
This show isnt a drama, it runs more like a photo album of a dramas - they have put togethor a glossy marketing brochure drama to make the leads look good - without any dimensions and depth.
luckily you can watch it a 4x speed and you dont miss much.
You are new too baby...Only watching 4 series in your list and out of four 1 dropped currently watching 3 series…
Funny, i see your account is new as well - so what's your point little girl? Nothing wrong with having a new, having and posting an opinion.
But something is wrong when like over 85% of the accounts are created to push up the ratings. And when parasocial fans very similar to you have gone and created negative reviews for Mr Fanboy as @Bai_yu Cakrawala mentions. About 20% of their reviews are from Maniacs.
Are you saying that "Are the Sexy Buttocks Not Good? poster is original. Its just a copy from most bl manhwas - either a cover or part of any sex scene .
The ratings here are a joke and dont reflect entertainment value or quality. An 8.6 is absurd.
The trailer promised us a toxic and an entertaining plot by advertising two red flags. Instead we got two emotional stunted little boys dancing around their emotions. So to deal with the cognitive dissonance, fans are calling this show deep - a show with nuance requiring maturity. No you idiots - the show is not deep, its just a bore fest. These scriptwriters dont have the talent to write an emotions based plot like the japanese bl writers
This show is as pathetic and immature and as boring as its fanbase trying to convince themselves its the best show out there. Otherwise they have been duped and need to play along for the good of their parasocial relationships - its all pathetic but makes for more mediocre bl shows.
Lets compare - and spot the odd one out: Police in Love - 31 reviews Mr. Fanboy - 40 reviews You Maniac - 170 reviews Fool in love - 12 reviews Crow Club - 8 reviews
It says a lot about the quality of show when it needs its fans need to create accounts to boost its popularity. There are 170 reviews You Maniac with mostly 10. And about 85% of these reviews are from NEW ACCOUNTS created "suspiciously" around the same time when this show started. Most of these accounts have only one entry - You Maniac - and they gave it a 10. They haven't engaged since.
They are not red flags or toxic characters - you may actually want to look up the meaning of red flag and red flag behavior.

oh - do you really think its created first by "Are the Sexy Buttocks Not Good?"
How profound and insightful of you.
