People, please hit the spoilers tag 😩

But anyway, anybody watching this series, prepare your tissue box and a lot water. Be wary of getting dehydrated.
Last time I cried like this for a cdrama was for Love in Between. Boy, it hurts. But Ep16 is where Cheng Yi is becoming more of the character. Many people die, good or bad, but I keep crying for them all. Well, honestly, it is a grey area. There is no definite good or bad sometimes.

So why does byeong want to screw them over? It never made much sense, like what did they do just to be treated…
I guess they couldn't manage this character quite well and making him more convincing. He is quite flat and one sidedly evil.

But to my understanding, once a person tries to go up by using others, stepping on them or stealing their chances, then that person automatically thinks everyone is doing the same and he/she always has this sense of insecurities and becomes hostile and jealous towards all.

I wish the production teams to be able to manage make the characters more realistic especially when they are trying to express an issue in their work.

I feel so wronged seeing no comments on this movie.
I watched it while I had almost zero time to deliver my thesis and every minute was gold to me. It is a fresh experience and all the actors have acted from heart.
When you need a good laugh and need to forget other stuff in your life for a couple of hrs, to cheer up and get up again, remember this movie and give it a try!

On The Longest Day in Chang'an Jan 2, 2020
The series had a really amazing storyline and was progressing very well. I was hooked on the screen while watching eps 1 to 25. I was happy and grateful to watch a worthwhile historical c-drama after ‘Nirvana in Fire’. If I want to be honest, I really truly appreciate the music, the costume and the set design of the drama. In that aspect, I really enjoyed a high-quality one. But…
I mostly skipped the whole drama from ep 38. It was from there that whole of the story fell apart and turned into the cliché of revenge and stuff like that. Suddenly, all main characters became stupid and couldn’t see clear clues.
I liked ZXJ at the beginning. But he gradually turned into a shallow and physically invincible hero who was getting accused all the time. I thought the combination of ZXJ and Li Bi was great and they could solve the riddle together.
On the other hand, I expected more from Li Bi as a so-called genius, but in the most important moments, he disappeared. It is good to mention that prisoner who was stupid to kill someone for his horse, but suddenly became a genius and completely replaced Li Bi in PC in the last 2 eps. I am telling you: he was the most suspicious one.
Xu Bin’s character was not sensible. When I look back at his actions, from helping Li Bi and almost getting killed to later abducting the emperor and dying in a really wasteful way, there are really big gaps and holes in there.
Wen Ran was the most stupid and useless character of the whole drama.
OMG! And the most important question: why didn’t that huge amount of stone grease (300 barrels) explode? How did it only become a small fire only on the lantern itself? I was expecting an explosion threatening the whole Chang’an.
I really can’t believe that such a good start went to such a senseless waste. I have the same feeling when I watched the last season of GOT. Hopeless!
