Yeah luckily its a comedy so I'm not taking the boss-employee thing too seriously lol but like in the original (which i DO have a lot of affection for) haruta kinda had a more wishy-washy personality in the beginning so i felt like more annoyed that he sometimes couldn't get it together and decide what he wants meanwhile with heng he just genuinely seems to already like mo (but doesn't fully realize it) and is just too scared?/polite?/kind? to tell kongdech he doesn't like him which just makes me feel bad for him lol (but im prob also just biased because earth is playing him so adorably)
I feel like kongdech doesn't really love hengney he just loves the idea of being in love because it just feels like if you really love someone wouldn't you want to actually hear how they feel about YOU because they have not had a single conversation its just boss doing all the talking and heng like D: but cant say anything bc he's his boss. It could also be because boss is older and used to being a "boss" type and assuming things will go how he wants but i saw someone else say he knows how heng feels and doesn't let him speak so he can bask in the feeling of love longer which makes sense. I really think this should have had more episodes with how many different storylines there were and some kind of didn't get much attention like the pregnancy one lol and honestly from someone who has been waiting for this show since the original trailer came out it really seems like they changed so much its a completely different story than what it was originally supposed to be. It makes me feel a bit sad but I don't think this is the story jojo intended to tell when he handed this story over to aof and the writers...speaking of the writers it really feels like there was some bias here in how depth certain characters were written compared to others maybe to fit with current trends more than anything but its sad that things got sacrificed like jim the supposed main character's story...anyways i think this was still a good story but prob would've been better if i went in with no expectations and didn't expect this to center around jim and an adult love story like the original trailer promised. On another note earthmix are still amazing together and i love them and how much they improve with every role and im surprised jimwen ended up being so cute and domestic and warm but its nice to see and almost gives like hope?? and comfort to people (particularly LGTBQ people) who are older or not the typical teenage to early 20s demographic that sweet love stories typically center around that you can still find love and a home in someone even if you've been through so much. All the actors were great in this too (special shout out to khaotung) and helped bring the story alive despite the sometimes iffy writing
i've been waiting for this since its announcement and so far its living up to the expectations its SO GOOD earthmix chemistry is A+++ as usual and i rly like how their roles here are so different from their others and they rly feel like real people like its just natural and subtly beautiful mix is eating up every scene he's in and earth's acting here feels rly subtle and genuine like jim feels like a real person who's struggling and has been through so much but kind of lives w all that in silence bc he's too busy taking care of everyone else :( the kids are doing ok too tho i don't rly feel like i care as much about their storyline bc i'm kinda over high school characters in BLs and dramas overall lol and li ming is highkey so rude to jim for no reason?? i mean ik hes a teenager but still like jim takes care of him and is just trying his best like damn give the old guy a break (unless there is a reason and we just don't know yet idk but so far its off putting) i didn't expect to care much about the side characters but i do like mark and khaotung's characters and mark lowkey gives me neo energy lmao i almost kinda wish it was 1 ep per week so i can fully process each ep bc all the emotions and feelings ;_;
