they both have very similar production style, with both leads as roommates, there's also an episode where the FL brings a dog home and the ML makes her keep it in her room since he's scared of it. this related to PYHOMS since there is also a very similar episode but with a cat instead. Also, in both MB and PYHOMS both the parents surprise visit the FL & ML's home.
